Quaint and timeless. Rooms are uniquely and beautifully designed, and clean.

The meals at the Old Salt Restaurant were very tasty. Lots of seafood available on menu. Quick and friendly service. A really memorable stay

First time eating at the old salt. Pretty good food. Not really fancy but food is good. Great atmosphere. Server Ellen C was wonderful. Great service.

Great experience today. Had to stop by before heading home.
Ordered the wrong size Clam chowder bowl and they made it right and gave me one small for free. My family I've been coming to Old Salt for 12 years now. ( New Yorkers) We love New Hampshire!! 😍 ❤

Didn't stay there but we ate here. Food was good, my kids like it here but a little on the pricey side

We visited Old Salt for the restaurant, not the inn, after hearing great things from a friend. We stopped in for the noon buffet over the Fourth of July weekend and had a wonderful experience.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by several hosts and quickly shown to our booth. Our server welcomed us, took our drink order, and invited us to enjoy the buffet.

The buffet offered an impressive selection, including fresh baked goods, hot breakfast and lunch favorites, a made-to-order omelet station, a carving station, desserts, and a fun chocolate fountain with fruit and other treats for dipping.

We started with breakfast, made our way through the lunch offerings, and somehow still managed to save just enough room for dessert. Everything we tried was delicious, and at $29.95 per person—including endless coffee—the value was excellent.

Service was friendly throughout our meal, although it took a little while for our server to return after we had finished eating. The restaurant has a casual, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of charm and character.

Overall, we were very impressed and can see why it's so highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

Legedary Sunday Brunch.

The portions are massive and pricing is fair, the only thing I might admit is some of the things stating “for 2” could likely feed a family of 4, delicious fresh seafood

Visited while in vacation. At first we were very put off by the hostess, only to find out later that she was the manager. She was rude and very unfriendly. The waitress at the front felt so badly by the way we were treated, she immediately grabbed menus and seated us. She came over with water right away and apologized several times for what happened. She told me they gets lots of complaints about the hostess/manager. The food was decent, the view was amazing and the waitress was very attentive. I would not consider returning nor would I recommend. I cannot support bad behavior!

We had an amazing experience at The Old Salt, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Christian! He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. He checked on us often without being overbearing, made great recommendations, and had such a positive attitude that made our meal even more enjoyable. The food was fantastic, but Christian’s exceptional service is what really stood out. If you visit The Old Salt, definitely ask for him—you won’t be disappointed! We’ll absolutely be back.

Baked stuffed shrimp was either pre cooked or over cooked. Didn't have any flavor and so tough. Very unsatisfied.

The Inn is adorable. All the modern conveniences, fridge/microwave, wifi. The rooms are spotless. Cold A/C, friendly staff (Danielle) checked me in. I wasn't rushed or made to feel like I was a number. They offer free water, coffee and snacks to purchase. There is a continental breakfast. I am sure is wonderful, just not a breakfast person. I had a king size room on the second floor.

After my friend’s funeral service , her family and friends gathered at The Old Salt for her repass, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was.

The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything was handled with such care. A special thank you to Ada, our bartender and host, who went above and beyond throughout the afternoon. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, especially with the many energetic children who kept making trips to the bar for drinks and endless lemon wedges. She never seemed bothered and treated everyone with genuine warmth.

During such a difficult day, the compassion and hospitality shown by the staff made a meaningful difference for my friend’s family. Thank you to everyone at The Old Salt for helping create a comforting place to gather, remember, and celebrate a life well lived. We truly appreciate everything you did. I would recommend this restaurant for large gatherings of any occasion.

My family visits the area every summer and we have come to the old salt for years. When I saw they sold to new owners I hoped it would be the same as we have known and loved for years. Food and service were still great and the atmosphere is still the same which was a plus. The only thing that we were sad about was they aren't carrying the homemade desserts they had the previous years. The lemon blueberry cake was truly one of the best we have ever had. Thankfully our waitress was able to give us the name of the baker they used so we could try and order some treats while we are visiting. Overall we were satisfied and we will look forward to our yearly visits.
