I looked up prices on line before I went to the drive through and on line the price for a cheeseburger was 1.00 on the value meal menu. Now after I told my grandchildren I was bringing them food I was told that cheeseburgers were over 2.00 each. Not wanting to disappoint the kids I paid it. Never again...I'll get pizza next time.
Been twice this week and scammed both times with wrong food given. Don’t ever use this scamming franchise. I will never gong her ever. Seen the other reviews that owner needs sorting out. I’m off there tomorrow and will not leave until I get a refund. Terrible place. Something not right about it
I want to write a review for the penistone road drive through Hillsboro barracks. Has to be the worse McDonald’s in Sheffield to say it’s one of the main ones and is a proper McDonald’s not a franchise one. 3 times in the last couple of months they’ve got the order completely wrong at the drive thru. I’ll forgo the 20 minute wait cos it was busy but when we got home it was totally wrong. We ask for a plain Big Mac just With cheese and lettuce which was wrong and not put together properly and I asked for two medium meals only had one portion of fries. Please everyone avid this McDonald’s please please please
Fries were good but that’s about all. Quite overpriced I got the pulled pork sandwich which was dry but alright until I bit into a long hair. Their loaded fries seemed to be alright complete with cheese brisket and another add on hair! Quite disappointed
I do don't think people respect the nice Simplicity of some of the items on the menu I noticed some bad reviews but I personally think that this place is good. The mac and cheese was really good, it was light creamy and still kept a thick consistency while still being creamy and melty. The beans were good but there was nothing I could say about it. I got the brisket with sauce and it wasn't bad not a personal favorite but the sauce was what made it really special it tasted like an apple but was not overbearing Just right. The people that run the business were very nice very and talk to us answered any questions and There's always some nice music going!
We order takeout online, go to pick it up with a virtually empty restaurant the guy working there says he hasn't made it because they were "slammed". Come home wait another 40 minutes to return to get 2 orders but the third, they were out of that so instead of calling I'm just left with nothing. Complete lack of consideration that left me absolutely disgusted with the whole thing. I personally wasn't present to pick up the food so that guy should consider himself lucky to say the very least and so should anybody who hasn't done business with this place. I would steer clear if you like your sanity. One exchange with this guy will have you seriously question it.
Good food, great service, fantastic music! I had the fried chicken with mac&cheese and cole slaw.
I like the idea of a bbq place in the area but I’m guessing I went during an off day. Our food was definitely not worth the $80+ we dished out.The fried chicken was insanely dry, like it had been sitting around for quite a while; good flavor but not very chewable. The beans weren’t my liking which isn’t their fault. Mac n cheese didn’t have much flavor. The brisket and pork was pretty good though.Might try them again and hopefully it’ll be up to par and more worth the money.
Ordered from here 2 days in a row, both times the order was wrong with items missing. Getting an order wrong is disgusting and serious as the restaurant could be sending out the wrong food to a home with allergies. One time it could of been a mistake, but two days in a row is inexcusable. No apology when we called the restaurant, and staff member was rude. The lack of accountability for their poor service is appalling.
Great service and friendly. Awesome martinis although a bit pricey for this area. The brisket and pulled pork were cooked to perfection. Nice bark on brisket, juicy and delicious. Brisket is my favorite but I also enjoyed the pulled pork. I could eat both everyday. The ribs were not cooked long enough, the meat didn't fall off the bone, they were dry and tough to eat. We cooked them more, low and slow and they were good. Sweet potato fries are really wedges and no added spices, mushy, not crispy. Beans were just beans, no added goodies like spices, peppers, onions, some type of meat (sausage, kielbasa, bacon, pork, etc.) I love cornbread, any way it's cooked, it was good, not dry. I'm not a BBQ professional but I know what I like and would definitely go back.

Friendly staff and wildly generous servings off home-cooked BBQ make this place stand out. The portions for one are so I had leftovers for days. My tip is to share a platter and get a variety of sides for the full experience. We’ll be back!
Stopped in on impulse and was very happy with everything. Great steaks, big portions nice atmosphere, good local beer. Freindly staff. Entres rin 20-30 dollars but are well worth it in quality and quantity.
We just had dinner and it was amazing! They were 4 of us and together we ordered the fried chicken which was perfectly done and delicious, rack of ribs were a bit messy but fantastically cooked, the double brisket plate was so tender and my dad had the gumbo which I have to admit was the best thing I've ever tasted. The portions are huge and we are definitely gonna have a meal for tomorrow as well. Definitely going back for more!
Just got home from our first visit to RJs. I am stuffed and everything I ate was very good. The pulled pork was my favorite, collard greens were good too. We were a party of 10 with kids, took a little extra time to get the food out but was worth the wait. I recommend RJ but have a little patience.
