We have stayed here probably four times. Each time with children, this last time with our dog.
We have stayed in air BNB’s, motels, and five star all inclusive resorts.
For a classic New England experience, while seeing the sights in New Hampshire, I would 💯 recommend this hotel.
The positives:
Authentic historic charm, literally jumping out of a Currier and Ives print. As you drive up the hill to the entrance, you literally feel like you are going...read full review
Unsanitary, unsafe, unwelcoming.
Those are the words that describe the experience you get when you stay at this "historic" hotel.
The management of the hotel should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for how they conduct business.
Their lack of emergency preparedness is evident. They have 0 electricity and 0 water backup solutions if the power goes out. How can a hotel in service operate for over 100 years in Jackson of all places without having proper...read full review
DO NOT waste your time or money at this hotel. They ruined our wedding day. They do not have basic back up power in the likely event of a power outage. Explain to me how a hotel in the White Mountains doesn't have an emergency generator? Power outages happen and there are simple ways of dealing with them. Extremely unprofessional staff and front desk. Linda Boyer wanted to just give up and let everyone go home following our ceremony. She had no problem taking our money, though....read full review

Eagle Landing Restaurant & Tavern offers a charming and authentic New England experience, set against the beautiful backdrop of Jackson, NH. Guests appreciate the historic character of the building, which feels like a step back in time, with its large front porch and stunning mountain views. The staff is known for being friendly, genuine, and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
The restaurant serves comfort food, with highlight dishes like tender lamb with mashed potatoes. However, experiences vary; while some meals are delightful, others have fallen short of expectations. For instance, a rib eye steak was criticized for its texture and flavor, particularly given its high price. Some diners have noted the menu changes, which include an increase in prices and a limited selection, leading to disappointment in certain offerings like onion soup.
Despite these mixed reviews, many guests have enjoyed their time at Eagle Landing, praising the service and the overall dining experience. The atmosphere, especially when dining on the veranda, is considered a significant draw. While the dining room may lack decorative touches, the lovely building and exceptional hospitality make it a worthwhile destination. Visitors are encouraged to return, hoping for an even better experience on their next visit.
