This place has live music every single day they are open to the public. The current chef is doing a great job with the food, and the staff always take great care of us.

We were a party of 9 people (6 adults and 3 kids). The appetizers were good however, some of the meals were horrible. I ordered a Ceasar Salad w/grilled chicken and never received the chicken and when I did it was ice cold. Another meal was never received until everyone was finished and brought to the server's attention. The last meal was a kid's cheeseburger that was embarrassing just to look at - it was basically a slider on a regular size bun with cheese just slapped on. The server indicated the kitchen was overwhelmed which is an unacceptable excuse. We will NEVER be going back or recommending it.

We've eaten at SHP many times while vacationing. We had experienced food quality declining over the last few years but consistently went back for atmosphere and scenery. So glad we gave them another shot this year. We enjoyed a delicious cheeseburger, crunchy French fries, and ice cold drafts. I love the music provided by local musicians . Such a pleasure to have songs from the past playing while you eat. If you're looking for a unique dining experience or thinking to give them another chance, go for it. This historical Barn with beautiful mountain views is just too lovely to pass up. Congratulations SHP on your recent changes. Keep up the good work.

Atmosphere and food/drinks were great! Bar tender wonderful! The micromanager was tough to tolerate. We were with our kids, who we chaperoned, but we were reprimanded because we were walking around, apparently in the way of servers. The manner we were spoken to was poor. Not a kid friendly place for families.

We loved our experience at the shovel handle pub ! The food was great and our server Lilly was better. We started with the brisket chili, and got the burnt ends Mac & cheese as an entree, both great decisions. The s’mores martini was the perfect addition as well. Lilly was super helpful and had a smile on her face the whole time. So glad we decided to stop in here, will definitely be back again.

This place has so much potential but even with new owners place is uncomfortably cold. They need to put in a wood stove unless you want to wear warm clothes inside. They could have moved us upstairs but didn't despite my complaint. Would not go back until the Summer time.
Food was good here but the service was awesome and the atmosphere was magical! The fire pits outside are an awesome addition! A few more signature drinks or lists of drinks may make this even more fun! The wings and nachos looked great if you are looking for an appetizer wish I grabbed those!

Dined in at the Shovel Handle Pub over the holiday- great food (I got the prime rib, which was perfect), both quick and kind waitstaff, and live music played at just that right volume level for both enjoying the music and also being able to easily talk and catch up with your group.
