Love the place. I live down the street . I do agree there is limited seating but they always go way beyond to accommodate us. It makes it even better when I do get us in for dinner . Also I want to mention I love the owners comments to the only complaint I have found on this . JCS are your number one fans !!

This place is such a great find and the atmosphere was amazing. The food was great. The owner was there to tell us some of their history. Really I'd definitely recommend this place. Loved everything about it.

This is the first real bar/tavern I've ever been to especially since I just turned 21. This place is homey and it's a historic site and the staff are amazing! Going here was the best experience I ever had and the staff and atmosphere was super chill! I heavily recommend going to eat here and hang out, get a drink! It's amazing here!

Tavern 27 is such a cosy, inviting tapas spot the Lakes Region and the community is fortunate to be invited back inside following the pandemic and Ray and Leslie’s other life adventures. We recently held an intimate employee appreciation event there, and it could not have been a more perfect experience. The atmosphere was perfect, Leslie curated an excellent menu of from scratch bites, and some members of our team had never been there before but I suspect are already making plans for their next visit. You have to be super patient and not in a rush because Leslie prepares every dish made to order, and they’re also rebuilding staff so things will take time, but if you’re seeking a memorable evening out, and are looking for a rustic casual destination, please go visit them. Was visiting the area and stopped in here for dinner and drinks. Such a charming place. Very cozy. Not many tables but we arrived early and got a table. I got a blueberry basil blast martini that was good but didn’t taste any basil. Also got an espresso martini that was very good. Shared food that included cheeseburger soup, chicken tenders, Parmesan truffle fries and bacon Mac and cheese. All the food was great. The Mac and cheese was my favorite. Definitely recommend.

You have to serve yourself. There was no one behind the bar for 20 min. Someone at the bar said she would be back soon. Later we overhear people talking turns out the owner was sitting there the whole time but never said anything to us or offered to take our order. The drinks aren’t good. The food is bad. If I wanted to go up to the bar to order then collect my drink from the bar when you shout that it’s ready I would skip your trolley and go get fast food. Really disappointed.

We swung into this hidden gem not knowing what to expect. We were there due to the extensive gluten free menu and left with full bellies and a desire to return. The bartender and the chef/owner/rockstar were both so hospitable. 5 out of 5 stars with amazing dishes and cool silverware!!! Next time we are in town - we are there.
