We just had a very busy day and stopped over here to unwind after work. What a great relaxing place. Such a nice variety of interesting drinks and while the menu is limited, it is limited to things. They do extremely well. Absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much. The sandwiches come on waffles. The waffles are so light and fluffy, almost like poofy crepes. My friend and I shared one that was fried chicken, bacon, tomato and peppers and it was so good. My other friend had the lobster roll, just wonderful.

Food and service was amazing! An absolute must stop for those with celiac or gluten sensitivity. The gluten free mac and cheese is the best I've ever had, even pre-celiac. They offered to make my son's gluten free chicken tenders with or without spice which was so appreciated. They even gave us a separate little side of fries for him without the parm/cheese in case he didn't like it. So thoughtful and above and beyond! We bought a cooler and ice afterward so we could take our leftovers with us since we weren't heading back to our hotel for a couple hours.

We were so happy that we found Tavern 27! The food, atmosphere and service were excellent ! We were there celebrating our son's marriage and Lesli treated us to delicious chocolate cake .

Adorable tavern with a fireplace-don't miss it. We're only in the area for 2 days and we'll be back. I couldn't decide between the chicken rice soup and beef stew and got both. Both were great! The star of the evening was the amazing chicken tenders with the honey mustard sauce. They were DF and GF and SO juicy and flavorful! Service was the best I've experienced in ages. Our waitress made recommendations for local spots for us to visit...including a place to snowshoe in Maine! Another couple from Massachusetts came in an hour before closing time (kitchen was closed) and joined us at our table at the fireplace. Even though we'd paid, we hung out another half hour because they were so much fun. Ironically, they were coming from the restaurant at our hotel! We checked the vibe there, but far preferred the friendly intimacy and twinkling lights at Tavern 27. I think you will too! Don't miss the Earl Grey vodka--with honey notes. Best vodka I've had in my life. Went back the second night-had a modified version of the pistachio martini with vegan cream that was the best drink I've had since being dairy free. LOVE the owner for suggesting it. Bought a sweatshirt there for the memories. Definitely try the popcorn shrimp and Jou Jou sauce. Bliss!!

Passed this place up for years as I lived in laconia.....what a mistake. The food and drinks are some of the best in the area! This is a great place hidden away.

I love this place. It is small enough to get to know everyone having dinner there (if you want) . The food is always delicious . And the architecture is very comforting. Barn-farmhouse style with huge hewn beams holding up antique walls. I love the spare ribs and this is a great place to share food with others so we order the spare ribs and some side dishes that we can all dig into. The popcorn shrimp are crisp and come with tasty dipping sauces. The feta cheese and hummus is also a tasty side dish. I have eaten at one of the tables. But i also enjoy the easy chairs beside the fire place with the coffee table. This is a wonderful place to go with friends.

I decided to sleep on my experience before I shared this tale. I don't like to trash places but I feel it's my obligation to others to share the truth and let the chips fall where they may.First, it was pitch black driving to this tavern and once I got there, the sign out front said, Dancing Rabbit Something. So I thought, "Well, I must be at the wrong place." I continued to drive north for over a mile realizing then it must have been the place. Either change the sign or change the business name to Dancing Rabbit. The area outside entrance was dimly lit and my wife and I took our time looking straight down to make sure we'd not trip.Once inside the old home, we found my daughter and her boyfriend sitting at a tall table with stools. The table was wobbly and as my wife tried to use it to help climb up to the stool, she caused an earthquake that made my daughter's cocktail splash all over the table. Not a great way to start the dining experience. The waitress was very pleasant. She took our orders and soon the food came out. Everything except the flatware was disposable. My brisket chili was served in a 16 oz cardboard carryout container respite with the cardboard lid. The chili was very spicy and I enjoyed it.As the dinner wore on, my wife's legs became numb because her stool had no place to support your feet. My stool was made for a person weighing 120 pounds or less and was exceedingly uncomfortable. The salt and pepper is a community set that evidently is shared among tables. I've never seen that before at a restaurant. How expensive are those tiny glass salt and pepper shakers with the stainless-steel caps? Finally, when I got the bill, I almost had a heart attack. It seemed like a very big number for four people who got four cups of soup/chili, a small plate of popcorn shrimp, two generous orders of mac and cheese, two cocktails and two lemonades. The only reason I'll go back here is to try to play the 9-hole par-3 golf course. Perhaps the dinner fare is better in the high season that runs from the end of May until when the leaf-peepers go back home. I don't know.I'll be very interested to read your review should you go here one day or night.Parking: It's a dirt and gravel lot.Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't see access for wheelchair. We had to go up steps to get inside.

It's closed...they had a food truck at the rear of the property but the pictures posted dont reflect the current business. The view was niceUpdate after owner reply:Maybe update your website, update Google maps to reflect this. We entered the bumpy unkept parking lot and approached the main house/tavern however there was a sign directing us to the golf course snack shack and drinking area. We made our way over to the bar area to see what type of food they had as we were very hungry and had gone out of our way to go to the tavern. A patron could tell we weren't from around there and offered a few words of wisdom regarding the establishment, she even pointed out the owners. She then proceeded to tell us about restaurants to eat at, as she was speaking to us one of the owners passed by and due to the layout we had to move out of her way, she did not great us in and manner or even provide a friendly smile (those are free you know). We took the patrons advice and went to Fratellos instead. If your looking for a nice dinner don't bother, if your looking for a drink and a nice view, knock your socks off! That was my experience anyways, Just telling it like I see it!!!

These ppl are awesome! They accommodated my friend who can basically eat NOTHING! like imagine us out here hungry in NH looking for gluten free, niteshade free, dairy free, but the cook here was like don't worry! And came up with something. I had the chicken and waffles with a special strawberry sauce it was yummm. People next to us had the lobster sandwich and were raving. Also there is vodka with raspberries, hibiscus, espresso - you can see those things distilled in the vodka bottles. So it's back in the parking lot where there's a tent and a bar. They call to you when they see you walking in case you go the wrong way. Apparently the restaurant up front has been closed but it's the same chef in the back.

Yelp told us #1 Bloody Mary. Did not disappoint. The hard seltzer flight was super fun and delicious as well.

Very nice relaxing atmosphere. A few gambling games to keep you occupied. A Lottery dispensing machine, and a bar. I was visiting the area, and I looked up casinos, and it was listed as a casino. By no means, is this a casino. Four slot machines does not classify as a casino.

Drinks at the outside bar are my favorite non motorcycle activity of Laconia Bike Week by far. Awesome people and great spicy cocktails made with their own infused vodkas.
