We first ran into these folks in the park in Gorham. The restraunt is in Lancaster. The food is always good and more then generous portions. If your unfamiliar you can taste test anything. I'm hopeful for there success so they can get some indoor seating.

I love curry. You can't find good curry around here anywhere. Someone suggested I try Mimi's. Oh my gosh. I was not disappointed. The chicken curry is the best. Love, love, love.

When stopping in Lancaster MiMi's Takeout is absolutely worth checking out. We first tried her amazing Thai dishes when she had a booth at the local Farmers Market. They were so delicious that when we were driving through Lancaster on our way to Pittsburg the following year I took to the internet to try to figure out if she was a local restaurant and how we could sample some more of her dishes. I was pleased to discover that due to such positive feedback she had opened a small takeout location. MiMi's Takeout is located right in the heart of downtown Lancaster and shares a building with a local Ice Cream Shop. There is some off street parking as well as some roadside parking as well. When you go inside it's a cafeteria style setup where you just tell MiMi what you want and she packages up her various dishes in plastic takeout containers. Some of our favorites are her Basil Chicken, Red Curry, Garlic Pork, Pork Eggrolls and chicken or pork skewers. However if there's something you want to try from her menu that isn't a part of her daily selection just let her know and she will whip up a quick batch for you. She's also happy to customize dishes and make them hotter if you want. There is also a section inside where you can grab various Thai condiments that MiMi makes herself like fried garlic or Chili Oil. There's no indoor seating as this is a takeout only establishment but honestly this comfort food is best eaten curled up in your living room watching a good movie or even sitting around a campfire. Give MiMi's a try...you won't be sorry!

Amazing, authentic, and reasonably priced food. Chili oil is actually hot, like it should be!

The only reason it got one star was Bec I had to give a star to leave my reviewI was really excited to order takeout Thai takeout actually in Lancaster called tried to place an order and had to express that I had an issue with being allergic to bell peppers. The person I was speaking to on the other end of the phone did not understand me I tried several times to emphasize what I could not have only to be told that I just shouldn't be eating Thai food. I've eaten Thai food plenty of times without having bell peppers in it. I'm very disappointed that I did not get a chance to try the food. Out of no disrespect I asked if there was somebody I could speak to that could understand me a little better. I was told nope that I just can't order I'm so disappointed cuz I really was looking forward to trying this place. And to be honest this is the first online bad review I've ever given any restaurant. I've worked in the food service industry and I understand how difficult it can be and I give lots of leeway and patience because of that. I guess she didn't actually lose a customer since she never actually had me to begin with just sad for her because when I like something I definitely tell plenty of people about it. Very disappointed

The woman inside was really nice and let us try a couple dishes. Everything we tried was pretty good. The only two things I'd say that made me not give the 5th star are: the Pad Tai could have had more veggies(kind of sparce) in it and it cost us $40 for 3 servings. Everything tastes great though. We will likely go back again, but not as often as I'd like because of cost.

Mimi's excellent food has satisfied hundreds of Farmers Market goers for years and her restaurant has evolved into the best of the best. Fresh, hot, delicious, and always served with a smile! You can either call ahead for made-to-order dishes or do what I usually do and just stop in and see what Mimi is serving up for the day, ready to go. Don't skimp on the spring rolls! I can NOT get enough! And the chicken skewers.... OMG, I'm starving now.... Check it out - you will love it!

Most excellent grab and go fresh Thai food. Absolutely a must do food if heading to Lancaster. There is no call ahead, it’s all there and ready whenever you show up to pick out your food, hot and on demand. Pad Thai and spring rolls will be on my to do list from now on at Mimi’s!

What a treat! We were passing through town on an errand and stopped in because this was the only place open, but i am SO GLAD we went! Everything was super delicious. No pictures because we ate it all!

I soooo hate being the one to write a negative review. And I'm all for a small business trying to get established. This really should be fewer stars based on our experience, but I'm trying hard to be kind. There are a few things you should know before you order. First, the food is not made to order. The lady (I presume MiMi) has chafing dishes (you know, those stainless steel trays floating over hot water) loaded with the menu options. So it's more buffet style, only you don't help yourself to the food, she forks a serving into your take-out container. If you want something omitted from your food (like meat), the only solution is for her to pick those pieces out. We didn't try the spring rolls and maybe they are fried fresh.Overall, it's hard judging the quality of the food. I suppose if you're lucky enough to have your portion come from the recently cooked batch, you could probably end up with something decent. And the few dishes we had were all right.I get that if you're in Lancaster and want some Thai takeout, your nearest option is a 25 minute drive to Littleton. But Thai food is really best when cooked fresh. I hope she succeeds and grows to be able to cook to order. She was friendly and tries to accommodate but for me, I'll wait until I hear that her business evolved into cook to order.

If you want Thai food in the North Country- this is the place to go. Everything is very clean, portions are more than reasonable, and just by taste you can tell the ingredients are fresh and of good quality.Mimi herself is a wonderful person, and I've been eating her food since she's sold it at the Lancaster Farmer's Market. If you want to support a small local business I highly reccomend it here, even if you've never had Thai food, it's a great place to start!
