Gusanoz Mexican Restaurant offers authentic Mexican fare at great prices in a convenient location. The friendly and knowledgeable staff provide excellent service, making it a popular choice. Guests can enjoy table-side guacamole prepared by a skilled server, who adds a fun touch with his Gordon Ramsay-style narration. The restaurant features a clean and welcoming atmosphere, with a wide selection of tequilas and a menu that is generally well-liked. The staff is friendly and familiar, with bartenders knowing regular customers by their drinks. Whether dining in or taking out, Gusanoz remains a dependable spot that’s worth the drive, even for those outside the immediate area. The environment is very kid-friendly, making it suitable for families. Customers praise the good atmosphere, delicious appetizers, and enjoyable dinners. Notable dishes include pozole, which is very good and different from what some have had before, and Chicken Mole with Rice & Beans, which is good but not great. The restaurant also features a variety of tequilas, including a popular tequila flight and house margaritas. Desserts like house-made churros are sweet and reminiscent of carnival treats, with regional regional recipes influencing their style. The pork carnitas are a favorite, topped with raw onions and cilantro, offering a perfect flavor combination. Overall, Gusanoz is known for its friendly service, great food, and extensive drink options, making it a highly recommended spot for both locals and visitors alike.
