When the pandemic hit, we ate here often to try and help small businesses. The food wasn't great, but we chalked it up to take-out. Then we went in and found the food wasn't any better hot off the griddle. Service was nothing to write home about, I felt like we were annoying them by coming in. I found the signs please pay in cash to save us money tacky. If you aren't making enough money then charge whats required to stay afloat and if the foods good people will come. If your hungry, and dont want to drive this is your spot, but I would recommend the twenty minutes to dover or durham instead

What is up with this place?! Arrived bright and early to an empty dining room w husband and two little kids and was told they couldn't seat us until our 1 friend (on their way) was there... asked if we could be seated to get kids orange juice and us coffee to get started and the lady literally looked at us and turned around and walked away... asked a third time to be seated in the completely empty dining room and she mumbled about waiting for whole party- I get it... if placed is slammed to wait for whole party, but it's easy to settle kids in and quickly have adults order. It was incredibly rude- we left!

I have had almost everything in the menu and it’s all delicious. Most plates are very generous and leave you full for the whole day. Highly recommend the pancakes, the country breakfast and the Irish benedict!

My wife and I are regulars here for a reason. The food is delicious and the service is excellent and friendly every time! When in doubt, get the Florentine Benedict or the Italian sausage & eggs.

Great biscuits n gravy. Excellent portion. I asked for scrambled soft, on point. Really I'd give them a four and a half. But not available. Coffee really weak. Almost like mistakenly ran water through the same coffee grounds twice. I'll see next time.

I come here on Friday mornings on my way to Live & Learn. If you're looking for a place for breakfast, you'll get what you want here. Lovely folks, all; cooks, waits, even the dishwashers. And when my friends buy me a gift certificate, (LoL) yup, it's for Sunny's!

Found this place by accident. Definitely homey with regulars, but I felt welcome enough. Coffee was good, breakfast was better!
