I have been coming to Dowd’s for 20+ years. This is the only place I stay when in the Upper Valley.
This place is superb in every way. Authentic, comfortable, inviting, chill, pure New England — not overly fancy, so if that’s your game go elsewhere. Breakfast is homemade to order. Pure excellence.

Excellent inn! The room was well appointed and bed was super comfy. Breakfast was cooked to order and had a very nice selection of options which is included in the room price! Staff treat you like family and Duncan makes a mean omelette. There is also a nice Italian restaurant a couple doors down. If you are in the area this is the place to stay!

Stayed for graduation and so happy we did. I can see how some give it 3 stars, but on the whole it is a 4 star experience.
