We got takeout from here on Halloween and the food was terrible. The side order of medium guacamole was brown… threw it out. The quality of the food we ordered was awful. No one was happy with their meals. We will not get takeout from here again. For $100.00 it was a waste of money.

We had a deeply concerning experience at this restaurant during a recent visit with a group of coworkers and friends. We ordered appetizers and drinks. My friend had one full margarita and a few sips of a second. Not long after, he abruptly left without saying anything to anyone (which is very out of character), drove home, completely unaware of what he was doing, and ended up violently ill, vomiting and convulsing. He blacked out.
Another member of our group had a similar reaction and became sick in the restaurant bathroom before passing out in their vehicle.
In addition to this, we had a very unsettling experience with our server. We waited about 20 minutes before anyone approached us, and when our waiter did arrive, he was noticeably rude and dismissive. He seemed uninterested in helping us and the overall service felt unwelcoming and careless.
This entire experience was alarming and has left us very unsettled. I can’t say definitively what caused the physical reactions, but I felt it was important to share this in case others have had or do have similar experiences. I strongly encourage anyone visiting to be extremely cautious with their drinks and mindful of how they’re treated.

Too noisy to have a conversation with another couple we were there with, food was only okay, piece of white plastic in my husband's dinner.

My wife and I have been going to the several La Carreta's in the area. This one in particular has become our favorite one, though I'll eat at any one of them. The food, the drinks, the service is always top notch. Get away from just eating tacos or nachos and explore the menu deeper. There are some excellent choices.
