We have eaten at the Restoration Cafe a few times now. It is a quirky little place and it may be me but it seems to me like just another eatery that tries too hard to be different. The coffees and teas are highly specialized. They have a few traditional dishes (tuna salad, bacon and eggs) but to me there are too many dishes that they try to elevate. Some work (TAB sandwich) and some don't (grilled pumpkin bread). I had the Curry Chicken Salad which was good but the menu listed lettuce and tomato on it but the sandwich came bare. Also the popcorn that is a side to alot of the sandwiches just doesn't work. Some of my popcorn was burnt and it was either cooked in flavored oil or sprinkled with a dusting of something I could not identify ... either way the flavor was ok. Just a simple white cheddar would have been appreciated.
One final point, this is not the friendliest interior design for people with mobility issues. The only two tables that are not high tops are located in front of the restaurant on an elevated platform that has a very high step to get onto. What makes matters worse is the color of the floor. It is Grey and black and the step blends in with the floor. If you are not paying attention someone could take a nasty fall.
Overall I would say stick with the standards and enjoy.

I visited this morning with my black Shepard. We sat out on the patio. After ordering my food inside & sitting outside. The food was prompt, as was a bowl of water for my dog. My breakfast of Avocado toast was delicious & the side mixed greens, fresh. I ordered a Chickpea salad sandwich on sourdough, to go. The sandwich is delicious. Great service & fun staff! Kudos

I think we just found our new brunch spot! Excellent customer service and excellent food. Their menu is quite extensive (I had a hard time picking what I wanted since everything sounded good!) and they also offer a wide variety of vegetarian selections. I ordered the ECC with added chorizo & a Mexican hot chocolate, while my partner had the Fall Harvest french toast from the specials menu & a tie-dye smoothie. Everything came out quickly and super fresh. Our server was perfectly attentive, accommodating, and kind, but also didn't hover too much - a careful balance. We also appreciated that they serve just the right amount of food for extremely fair prices. Can't wait to come back so I can try something new!

Honestly, it’s sad to say restoration has gone downhill. I’ve eaten here and at Cat Alley, which sadly closed, so many times, and this time was nothing short of unsatisfactory. I got the tacos, a smoothie, a latte, and an ECC. The first thing I did was take a sip of the smoothie. Expecting a sweet medley of flavors from the many unique flavors listed in the ingredients, it’s safe to say I was disappointed to be met by a taste very close to that of grass and dirt with a HINT of sweetness. Yes I requested protein, and i know that can throw of flavors, but this isn’t my first time getting this, and many other establishments are able to at least make a protein smoothie enjoyable. The Latte was good, no complaints there, but the disappointment continues when we get to the food. The tacos, usually brimming with flavor, were sadly bland. This is due to how all of the flavors of the ingredients were muted by the overpowering taste of the tortillas. And of course, I bought 2 orders since one order only comes with 2 tacos. The ECC, also usually amazing, was sadly also bland today. The cheese and the ECC sauce were barely present, and the flavor was very chive heavy. The sandwich was also packaged pretty much disassembled. I’d be able to dismiss this all if it were coming from the likes of a Wendy’s, or McDonald’s, but where I’m paying close to $50 For all of this ($8 smoothie, almost $9 each order of tacos, $6 sandwich, and $6 or $7 latte plus tip), and expecting the usual amazing food that they make with the fresh products they have, its sad to see the products in the state they are in. If the food continues to go in this direction, at that price, I’m unable to say if I’m likely to return to this establishment. As a side note though, I will state that the service was friendly as always.

Love the atmosphere. Gives me a European vibe.

Not exactly a place for a "hungry man breakfast," but the food was good. It's a little edgy for me.

The CUTEST little coffeeshop! Breakfast was excellent, and we really loved the local bread. Definitely recommend the drinks!!

Parking: Essentially just street parking, though it's nearby the Victory Parking garage—which I would recommend if you're not foot traffic.

I had the vegan burrito and small classic smoothie (banana, strawberry, orange juice). Really nice cafe with a beautiful and private garden patio. Multiple vegan food choices on the menu. Definitely worth a stop! Updated from previous review on 2024-08-07

All bowls can be made vegan. We got a Buddha Bowl and a sushi bowl with vegan tuna (pressed tomatoes). Both had beans and greens so you get some real nutrition. Juice and smoothie selection is excellent. Space is adorable.

What a great find! A friend and I needed a place to meet halfway between our homes, and great reviews led us to Restoration Cafe.

It more than met our expectations. The food was outstanding( she had an egg dish and juice tonic, I had a rice noodle peanut bowl and almond joy smoothie). Everything was fresh, healthy, delicious AND reasonably priced.

The staff was friendly, and the location itself modest but clean and inviting.

My friend and I both remarked that we would be regulars if we didn't live more than an hour away from Manchester.

We highly recommend Restoration Cafe!
