It's an alright Italian restaurant. Very good service. The food was good. The menu is a little on the heavy side. Creamy sauces and hearty meals. Not quite authentic but satisfied for Italian cravings.
We came with family from out of state. I’ve never been to Villaggio and heard rave reviews and comparisons to the North End. I would say that is a stretch. The food was good. Some of the dishes were a bit overcooked but flavors were very good.
It was a very busy night. And it was loud! It was hard to talk amongst the background noise of other conversations.

Had a reservation on a busy night, could be a good idea. Place looks mundane from the street but it's lovely inside. Excellent service was provided. We enjoyed an appetizer, bread and savory olive oil, and pasta dishes, plus a steak special. Dinners come with a tasty salad and the meals were all delicious. Generous portions. Prices are reasonable, and they offer a quality wine list and adult beverages. They offer desserts and we enjoyed the creme brulee and chocolate fudge...
