Had a great overnight stay this past weekend at the Henniker Motel! My boyfriend and I needed a last minute stay after spending a day in Laconia. The ride from Laconia was only an hour and was smooth. Tim (the owner) is lovely! He was very helpful and kind. We are not from the area, so he gave us plenty of recommendations and information about the area. Would definitely come back here. He also has two cute turtles named Shaggy and Scooby :)
Stayed here the night before a trail running race and I have to comment on how friendly the owner/manager was. Called to let him know we'd be arriving after 9pm and he typed out a nice letter with all the info we needed, put the keys in an envelope and left it for us. The motel is basic but very clean and quiet.
We had a fantastic time slope-side at this cute throw back motel! The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. The owner, Tim, is so friendly and accommodating! Most of all, you just can’t beat the location; you can walk right over to the Pat’s Peak base-lodge and pub. If that wasn’t so fun, we would have made it back to sit by the fire or take a dip in the heated pool. This is the way to go if you’re skiing at Pat’s Peak. We had a blast!
Excellent place to stay! Extremely helpful and courteous staff! Definitely will be back!
This place is awesome. Definitely on the older end accommodations wise. But clean and comfortable. Walls are a little thin but we travel with a sound machine for sleeping in hotels anyways and it drowned everything out perfectly. Even better then the room was everyone I spoke to or met, they were all the kindest and most genuine people I may have ever met. Thank you so much for such a great ski weekend for me and my daughter, we'll see you next year as it appears the Henniker motel and pats peak weekend just became a yearly tradition.
Place what's very loud w all is very thin. You could hear everything including the people next door to my room very cold. I would never stay here again
This is a small quaint rural motel in the woods that reminds me of places we stayed in our youth. These places don’t exist anymore. It’s quiet, it’s clean, it’s warm and the beds are comfortable. A tad outdated but that’s what gives it its charm!! Tim, the owner, is amazing and treats you like family the minute you walk in! (Thanks again for the coffee filters! ❤) we’ll be back!! (Don’t pay attention to the bad reviews about a spider web and the dirt road; you’re in the woods people!!!)
Superb location for our 9-person lunch group. Our waitress delivered flawless service! Food was fantastic. First, 'proper' (chunks, not sliced) reuben sandwich that I've had in decades. It's quite clear by the quality and presentation that the chef takes huge pride in their work. Looking forward to returning.

Just a couple Alaskan bikers finding a awesome place to stay the night. Older rooms but very clean, also it felt like being home. Fireplace in the evening, couple cold ones and a classic movie.
This was a last minute stay and I must say, my wife and I were pleasantly impressed. The views were nice, the gentleman that checked us in was very professional and polite. He upgraded our room because there were many college reunion guests, and just incase they were going to be up late. The rooms are big but could use a little updating. Overall, we would stay again without question.

Hotel location is one of the finest. Rooms I would say are decent but balcony and room doors have huge spider webs! Thats a big turnoff !! I came here thrice just because my college is 0.5 miles from here. and have told to the management every-time to clean that but every-time it’s the same damn thing. I won’t be living here any longer ! I am just moving to another hotel ! I just can’t have spider webs again ( I saw it once i reached here and canceled my reservation)
Friendly local owners that are always willing to help out the community. Walking distance to pats peak!
Deceiving atmosphere. I was seated at a booth that looks nice and has a nice view but I could not sit in the booth because they had the table pinned up to the wall on the side of the booth. The server noticed it as she watched me go over and turn around to sit on the other side with my partner because there is no room, she then continued to place my menu on the other side of the table as if I could sit there. My server had also continuously put my drinks on the other side of the table (before we had any food). It’s pricy for alright food. The water tastes like what I can imagine the lake out the window tastes like. There’s lip marks on my water as well. There’s dead bugs on the walls too. I was excited, I figured this would be a cute date night, and it does look like it, but sadly this place is busted.

Six of us showed up without a reservation on a Saturday night, during Bike Week, and we were seated immediately. Our food was wonderful, and the service was impeccable. The appetizers were excellent, and our entrees were great. I had the NY Strip Special, and my steak was cooked perfectly, and the sides were also tasty. BTW, they have complimentary cheese and crackers, and everyone loved the cheese spread. I ate a bunch of it myself. Probably too much.
