“I've been going here for 10+ years and the food has always been consistent. Everyone has always been consistent and friendly. It's rare you get dedication, engagement and delicious food in an establishment. Always thankful for small businesses that go the extra mile!”
“Cute place, perfect menu for kids. Blt was yummy, bacon cooked perfectly, bread could have been a bit more toasted. Kid enjoyed the grilled cheese and hubby the steak and cheese. The staff was all super friendly and kind. The ice cream of course was amazing. Nice little place to stop in for a quick meal and dessert.”
“My favorite place to get together with friends to relax and have a cold beer.Gary, the owner, is a national treasure. Thankful when I have the opportunity to spend time with him.”
“Love love love this place! Highly recommend to everyone. As a fellow chinese woman it is truly the most authentic Chinese food I have had besides my grandmothers cooking ? If I could rate it higher I would.”
“What can I say. The food and drinks were great and really useful when you're really tired in the morning. Saying america runs on it is a massive under statement.”
“Wonderful place for lunch, and, of course, a “little something” to take home! Their baking is consistently excellent! They have soups, salads, and individually made sandwiches. As for recommending baked goods, there is no “all of the above!”Kid-friendliness: These folks love kids. They have an activity area just for them.”
“Muddy Road Brewery, aptly named for the beautiful road in, is a sweet little brewery. Located on a quiet country road, this brewery is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. The service is friendly and genuine. The beer is fantastic! Be sure to try a flight because there are so many varieties to sample. They have pizza, made fresh on site in a little food truck, which was tasty and priced well. You can sit inside or out and the place is dog friendly. If you are looking for great beer, great service, good music and a relaxing atmosphere, then you will not be disappointed. Don't forget a growler to go! Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.”
“Clean, great tasting food (not too salty or sweet). Very friendly staff and quick service. Many Thai food offerings and generous portions. Some nice bubble tea selections too. One of our favourite locations in the area - definitely recommend stopping by.Vegetarian options: Healthy vegetarian options available.Dietary restrictions: Some items suitable for certain dietary restrictions.”
“A classic staple. The service is great, the breakfast is hands-down, the best around with house-made breads + flavored iced coffees. Order anything on the specials board!Kid-friendliness: I have two toddlers and they're nuts. This place treats them like family.”
“This place is super cheap about 12 bucks for a lunch combo. There is alot of food. The quality is very good. It's hard to find Spanish joints around here and this defently fills the craving.”
“Great spot that my partner and I stumbled upon for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Their local tap selection was incredible with something for everyone. We got the sprouts for an appetizer which was delivered quickly in a large portion (we dug in too fast to take pictures) and my only gripe is that they were browned and crispy on the outside but hard / slightly undercooked on the inside. My partner got the meatball sandwich and said it was easily the best meatball sandwich he's ever had. I got the Patrick Henry which was also delicious. The service was lightning fast, my pizza came literally 5 min after ordering. With so many interesting menu items, we will be certainly be returning on our future trips home from New Hampshire.”
“I frequent here often. I adore the ladies that work there, they are friendly, kind, accommodating. The food is delicious and extremely reasonable prices. It's my favorite pizza place!”
“We just left there and gotta tell ya we enjoyed everything. Those appetizer mushrooms so good. And, the fried scallops/clam dish was so delicious, we didn't mind the market price...well worth it. Thank you! ?♥️”
“My mum loves this place! They are always so kind & play music she knows all the words to, it's very comfortable. Ample parking and easy to access (ADA).It seems like a quintessential locals restaurant; they have an extensive seniors menu that is priced fairly & generously portioned. Also comes with tea/coffee and dessert (mums favorite is the tapioca pudding). The seafood has always been good. They have fried & baked options.... and it's not often that one of the sides offered is pickled beets! This is one of the "old new england" spots that have survived & is doing it the same way they always did; there is a wonderful comfort in that, also (and most importantly), they do it well.Parking: Plenty of off-street parking in a well spaced private lotWheelchair accessibility: All one level, ramps to the doors. There are 2 sets of doors (a spacious foyer), but it's right in front of the hostess stand & they are even to help with doors & they aren't particularly heavy (glass)”
“Porter’s is under new ownership, so be sure to give it a fresh new try! We went on a Tuesday evening, about 1 week into their reopening. The restaurant was busy, and the atmosphere was approachable. We happened to be there on Karaoke night (whoops!) which made conversation a little distracting with all the entertainment. Everyone was having a good time, service was prompt and friendly, food was fresh and we had a great time! I recommend going if you’d like good pub fare. The menu had plenty of options without being overwhelming or limited. I thought the portions were generous for the price. Worth a visit!”
“I know the food is really good and the peppers platter is the best meal for the price it fed me for 2 days. The employees are very nice but a little pushy to get you out , had a hard time to enjoy and relax. That's the only downside.other than that we loved the food.Parking: Lots of places to park.”
“Went for the first time, got 2 drinks and the pretzels and beer cheese. Everything was good but what stood out the most was how friendly everyone working was. From the food runners to the bartenders and servers, they were all kind to everyone and each other. To me, that speaks volumes about a business and how it's run. Great experience, will definitely return!”
“Unassuming on the exterior, the Hen House theme inside is cute and old school 100%. I had the chicken club (I know sounds like a bad pun but true) with hand cut fries and it was fabulous. The service is also super friendly. I loved this spot. I wish I lived closer so I could stop in more often. A neat littel place with a yesteryear vibe in the greatest of ways.”
“OUTSTANDING FOOD! Charlie & Staff are super nice, polite & super helpful! I worked Full time in Boston, Mass. years ago when there were real places to eat owned by real human beings, instead of global Corporation ownership. During this time in Boston, there were multiple family owned Sub Shops where the atmosphere was wonderful. ALL Owners were delighted to see his/ her customers & foood was impeccable! Fresh, hot ingredients & plenty of them. At this time in Boston, there were no puny servings of half cold/ HOT sandwiches with few bits of ingredients inside. I have been longing for fabulous Steak & Cheese sub for long, long, long time. I have finally found MY HAPPY SUB/ PIZZA SHOP - its name is CHARLIE's. I have (2) favorite Sub sandwiches: steak & cheese (sometimes with other toppings) & Meatballs with melted cheese on top. I have eaten @ Charlie's about (4) times now, ordering the SUPER DELIGHTFUL Steak & Cheese, large with Extra Cheese. OH MY GAWD! Beyond delightful. So similar to Steak & Cheese (S & C) subs from old Boston. This is a real feat to be sure! So, let me tell you about the S &C sandwich here @ Charlie's. Super soft, white (inside) sub roll with bit crispy outside filled to brim with HOT, gooey, creamy White American cheese served super hot off the grill in just short space of time. Oh my GOD! I should really order a SMALL considering actual LARGE is like eating a US battleship!! However, I get inside this store & large S&C's are invariably wafting past me. OOOH!! the aroma! This sandwich seems to do this A LOT in Charlie's & I fall. I am weak. So weak, for this dreamy, hot S & C sub sandwich from my youth. One day I will try a Meatball Sub but for now I am so ensconced in the S & C Sub that I cannot think of anything else once I enter this store. I was recently telling my (82) yr. old friend about Charlie's & she is dying to go there. She loves pizza & the works too! So, while I know there are other wonderful creations in this very clean, local sub shop & I look over his menu everytime & then fall for the S&C in this adorable shop. Like it calls to me, oh my gawd! One day perhaps, I will break free of this S & C hold over me & try different sub sandwich, but for now I am S & C devotee @ Charlie's. Thank you all, for my great sandwiches! For your super nice/ patient counter help! So very, very great there! WOnderful overall. Eat @ Charlie's! Often!Parking: onsite parking is available!”
“We ordered a couple of pizzas for delivery while in town. They were delivered in the amount of time provided by the restaurant and the pizza was fantastic! It seems very fresh and one of the pizzas was special request as someone dining with us is allergic to garlic and they were able to accommodate the special request. I would order again.”
“Location is amazing! There was a very rude customer in the parking lot talking crazy about leaving a review so I thought I'd leave one to just say the staff was doing amazing the pizza was great and props to the manager for putting up with those rude people!”
“They're only open seasonally, which is to be expected, but it seems like they have some events there that are open to the public during the summer and fall. They also have some rescue animals that are nice to visit. My favorite part was the ice cream, of course, which they source from a few local creameries. I was able to get a "flight", or sampler, with four different kinds of ice cream the same size and price as a regular large ice cream! I tried the pumpkin, peppermint patty, white pistachio, and something else oddly named. Reasonable prices for a boutique operation in the middle of nowhere!”
“Really admire how clean the restaurant is: from entering, seating, and eating the food, it's great to see an establishment prioritize cleanliness. Nice, quaint atmosphere - this location has become our favourite spot nearby for super fast East Asian cuisine. Staff is also super friendly and attentive. 100% recommended.Vegetarian options: There are some menu items available for vegetarian diet like age tofu, etc.Dietary restrictions: Pesceterian friendly.Parking: Not a large parking lot but ample parking space for restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Great, cute location for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking nearby, restaurant on first floor so easy wheelchair accessibility.”
“We eat there many times because the food is great, good size menu to choose from, Servers are quick and friendly lastly the prices can't be beat!!! ?Vegetarian options: Assorted vegetables, salads, delicious soups!!!Dietary restrictions: A couple of salads to choose, GF dishes, willing to accommodate what you would like!!!Parking: Plenty of parking (most of the time) also parking across the street.Kid-friendliness: Kids no problem, several dishes to choose from!!!Wheelchair accessibility: One level easy entry.”
“Well the last 2 times I've gone it took 45 minutes to get my food but everything else is good the food the people the restaurant ? ? goodParking: There's more parking out back”
“We always stop here when doing laundry in the plaza. Always pleased with the service and coffee is perfect. I just have a couple of questions: Why can't we order ahead on the app here? And even though I can't use the app to order, can I still use it to pay?”
“Very good. 3 guys split the 4 person meal and some burnt ends and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the brisket, smoked turkey, and the pulled pork. The pork could have used a tad more rub but was all good. The sauces are very good. Sides were excellent.Parking: Street parking, was a Sunday so no meter.Kid-friendliness: There was a youths menu. Atmosphere is fine.”
“Was out for Halloween and stopped somewhere that ended up being dead and boring. We had heard the Hawgs pen was also having one, so we decided to wing it! Boy, are we glad we finally decided to stop in and check it out! So much outdoor seating with a fire and a live band! The place was packed, and we had a blast. The poison apple drink I had was amazing! We will definitely be back again soon!”
“I highly recommend Wakefield House of Pizza. The subs and burgers are consistently well-made with fresh ingredients, and the staff is always friendly. The owner is particularly noteworthy for her warm and welcoming demeanor, creating that small town feel within the shop. This restaurant has established itself as the go-to take out destination among locals. For a top-notch experience, look no further than Wakefield House of Pizza.”
“Only seating for 14 inside, when outside dining is open that will be a big help, fantastic food!!! Very friendly, limited beer and wine only and some special non alcoholic Thai drinks. PHO was fantastic!Parking: Easy in and out, has handicap ramp”
