“Great expanse at the Rambling house! Food and drinks, were great. We were able to spend a beautiful afternoon on the outside terrace overlooking the river. Our waiter Andrew was great always very attentive, polite. Andrew spent some time with us talking about the origins of the restaurant, wonderful September afternoon. Thank you, Andrew.“

“The gluten-free chicken piccata was perfect. Lemony tangy saucy., perfectly crisp crust enveloping a tender and juicy breast. This has to be the best chicken piccata. I have had since giving up wheat three years ago. My son had the margarita pizza and tomato basil soup. The crust was well cooked, but he found the sauce to be just average, and the cheese to be lackluster. The tomato basil soup was good, thick and creamy but not worth writing home. Our waitress, Alison, was a sweetheart and very helpful. So chicken piccata, small pizza and a small cup of soup was $50 before tip. The music was a strange mix ranging from 80s hits, country music, modern forgettable pop, not really adding anything - very much a family friendly vibe. The restaurant was only half full so we could easily have a conversation. We were on the highway was still an hour and a half hour trip and it took it considerably longer to get the food then while we were expecting. If you’re in the area and looking for a variety of good free options this is a great place. But maybe don’t come here if you’re in a hurry.“

“I went in with out any idea of what to expect but I was wow by the food and the place I first got the Dark Angel espresso martini with Angel's Envy whiskey then I got the Spin dip the cheese pull on that was what sold me in the reviews. Then I got the Haddock dish that was absolutely delicious. I will definitely recommend and be back.“

“I went to Janie's Cafe for breakfast last Saturday. it was the best breakfast I have had ever. I got a western omelette with bacon instead of ham and American cheese. I got bacon peppers and onion in every single bite. I got the raisin toast.. oh my God, it was the best toast I have ever had in my whole entire life. The home fries were perfect, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The meal was amazing. Our waitress could have been a little more attentive, but not too bad. The food was 10 out of 10. My new favorite breakfast spot!!!“

“We met another couple as it v was a half way mark from where we live…Thank god! I am a vegetarian , The other three are true meat eaters… I swear we got half of the menu for appetizers each one better than the next, and super customizable, they did bacon on the side. They did guacamole on the side for all of our needs.. dinner was just as amazing. There were full we worked through it to try not one, but two of the chefs concoctions for desserts, which were absolutely ridiculously delicious and so creative. I chose to have an espresso martini for dessert, do you know they make it with coffee ice cream?WHAT??!?! unreal.
Our waitress was lovely as well… Experience from start to finish 10 out of 10!

“My friends and I ordered a special, the Ribeye., w/asparus and mine had their specialty mashed potato. We all agreed how amazingly tender and cooked to perfection they were. Asparagus was the best I've had in a long time and the Mashed so yummy I kept wanting more.“

“I’ve been coming here for years and it’s time to share. Casual bar with great comfort food. They have specials during the week and activities like trivia Monday nights. Bar tenders always a pleasure. Everything I’ve had has tasted great. I’ve had a lot more as I come here a few times a month. Pizza, subs, wings, fried dough, tacos and more. A must try when you’re in the area. Some nights can get busy so be aware of the crowd.“

“I have not a had a sub in a long time. I was craving a steak and cheese with onion and ordered one to be delivered. The order was placed online without an issue, arrived on time and was so hot like if I was there at the restaurant. The sub itself was the best one I ever had so fresh the steak was so good not dry or fatty, onions cooked perfectly and enough cheese. I could never eat a whole sub and it was that good I ate my first whole sub.“

“We were celebrating my husband’s recent successful cancer operation and we ran into Caesar, one of the owners, at the Amherst venue. He took the time to show us around and sit with us a bit! The staff was setting up for a wedding too. Caesar and his staff throughout the whole venue were so warm and friendly. Just such a beautiful and unique venue♥️Thank you Caesar and your amazing staff…truly memorable.“

“You have to order their egg lemon drop (avgolemeno) soup!!! It is constantly excellent and hot when it’s delivered. I am Greek so it’s something I know how to make but Kastore’s is such a treat when you don’t have time to make it!“
