Not Your Average Joe's offers a dining experience with pleasant and attentive service. The menu changes with the seasons, allowing diners to enjoy different appetizing meals each time they visit. Meals like chicken potstickers and the Cajun rice jambalaya have been favorites among many. Some diners enjoy the complimentary bread and oil at the beginning of the meal, although the bread is often served cold. The restaurant can sometimes have a wait for tables, and service may vary depending on the server. Recent visits highlight friendly and helpful staff, with servers going above and beyond to make the experience positive. The baked haddock remains a popular choice, and the ahi tuna poke bowl is highly recommended. The bread is delicious, especially when served warm, which makes a big difference. The outdoor seating area is also appreciated, especially on a nice night, creating a pleasant ambiance. Overall, the food quality is generally good, and the service has shown noticeable improvement over time. However, some dishes like the shrimp chimichurri special have been criticized for being flavorless, small, and overpriced, and the Greek wedge salad has been noted to be soggy with wet lettuce and overcooked grilled chicken.
