Such a fun and warm and welcoming atmosphere! It was my first time trying kava and the two baristas I’ve met so far were very knowledgeable and took extra time to explain to me (and my second time, to my friend!)
The space is cozy and the games are awesome. Can’t wait to come back for trivia!
I walked into Root Awakening this afternoon, and was immediately pulled to the back by Greg Gately (owner) and Johnie Peebles (employee). They stated that I was not welcomed at the establishment any further due to another customer’s negative review.
As I understand, in the state of NH, it is illegal to discriminate or retaliate against a customer for leaving a bad review, and it wasn’t even my review.

I was a regular customer and employee at Root Awakening. I was one of their very first customers, and always treated everyone with upmost respect. The owner let me go without explanation, warning or reasoning. I have the screenshots. The staff began treating me differently, not waiting on me within an appropriate time, giving me attitude, raising their voices at me (Johnny in particular during a game of Uno), and treating me as if I wasn’t even there (I played on Stacy’s trivia...read full review
