Please keep please keep in mind that this review is from an outsider who has never looked into or done anything in relation to orthodox churches. My experience of churches has purely been non-domination and I went to this church because my husband wanted to experience it. I am leaving this review because despite being nearly 12 hours since I went I am still thinking about my experience here first off. We went there early and we were there for two hours for the first part as well as the regular ceremony I believe in about 80% of this, we were probably standing the main key points that I remember during the ceremony is multiple mentions of Mary and to me it seems like her name was mentioned as many times as Jesus was and that they were praying to her, and that was my understanding of it. My husband has said that it is to pray to marry, so that marry me pray for us there was a lot of repeating going on throughout the ceremony and the Lord prayer was mentioned multiple times, so what should I do appreciate but I was expecting more Bible study and reading the Bible to understand things better. This is just what I have known from previous purchase because we went there earlier. There was only three other groups and the head bishop was given a tool that made bell noise noises and smoke and was shaking it around and at everybody and as people, and as he shook it at you, you’re expected to bow to him. They also brought out a book and we were instructed that we could go up and give things or something, and I could not tell if people were kissing his hands or the book or likewise my husband, and I simply bowed and moved on something that I felt very uncomfortable doing as I don’t see bowing to anyone, and only in prayer. They also kept coming out with lit candles on sticks as they were singing, I believe, and then once again parading around these things around the seated people which are also once again supposed to watch them go and bow slightly when it came to communion. Everyone lined up that was already baptized in the Orthodox Church and were given pieces of bread and looks like spoon given grape juice. My husband and I did not go as we are now orthodox. This also felt very uncomfortable to watch overall, the vibe was very, very strong and very, very strict as to how things were held, and there weren’t no light hardness which I’m used to in most churches I’ve gone to it was only after everything was done that the head gentlemen finally seemed to relax and actually talk normally to people in general overall. Nearly end of the ceremony of baskets were passed by everyone to either give donations or turn in your cards for your request on what you would like to do whether that was being baptized or to talk to a priest during any other things that you may want to say, I will not be returning to this church as I expect more Bible reading and sharing with people rather than simply repeating the same lines once again please keep in mind that this is coming from someone who has never experienced an orthodox church and had no idea what I would be walking into. I will still give five stars as I don’t have anything to compare it to, but wanted a review on here towards something other than the food which my husband and lap and I left right after they finished.

Great Church, great people. This Church actually teaches the doctrines, and traditions of the ancient church. Your ethnicity is not an issue. in other words you don't need to be Greek to go to this church.

Such a pretty church with great food. Some of the kids didn't look like they were thrilled to be working a good fesy on the weekend but most kids are like that. The food was awesome and I look forward to the Greek food fest every year. I love architecture, so I'm hoping one of these days I'll be able to tour the entire building
