Waited idk how long for a Bartender to even acknowledge us. I walked back to the kitchen area after 5 mins of waiting to order a drink. There were only 3 other people at the bar. You would have thought we were asking for a kidney, crazy attituded from the bartender once she was behind the bar. Then..the drinks were ridiculously weak. 4oz glass of wine at best. You'd have thought the bartender was doing us a favor by getting us drinks. Food server was extremely inappropriately dressed. Comments made by multiple people. And to top it off, because the drinks were so weak we asked for a shot of TITOS to add to our drinks, we were charged $10.50 for a 1oz shot of TITOS! A 750m bottle of titos is 17.98! What do they charge for a shot of grey goose if they even have it! There should be an oz and a half of liquor in a drink to begin with. We've been going to the church for years, it has gone sooooo far down hill. We and the friends we were with will not be returning anytime soon!

Excellent venue for small intimate music concerts. The venue is divided into two floors allowing to separate shows to happen at the same time. The upstairs space is filled with comfy lazy boy chairs and sectional sofas. Yet there is still lots of room to roam the floor to meet people. Local patrons are warm and welcoming,Very clean restrooms.Bar and wait staff all super nice, Drinks are reasonably priced but the food menu is very limited, aka there's nothing substantial enough for dinner.Dress is super casual.Parking is limited. If we lived closer we would become regulars.

This place is hit or miss. If you're going there for the entertainment, it's a great venue to see local talent. If you're going there for the food, you're in the wrong place.

I met my husband here more than 30 years ago. The Church has changed hands a few times and improved a little each time. Fantastic place to listen to music, grab a bite to eat, play some trivia, listen to some comedy, or watch some sports. The food is very good and the beer selection is varied. It’s a little slice of heaven high up on Zion Hill.

I gave this place one star only because zero stars is not an option. I have been to this venue on three occasions. The first time was 23 Aug 2014 to see Enter the Haggis. It was a 6 p.m. show, the band was great but they showed up late. Turns out they had an afternoon gig in either Hampton or Salisbury Beach, and their schedule was so tight they didn't have enough travel time between gigs. Don't know if this was the band's or the venue's fault. The second time was 7 Oct 2016 to see Ramblin' Jack Elliott. He came out, did about 20 minutes (three songs plus chatter between, mostly blather, not good stories), asked the bar for some water. They gave him ice water. He took a sip (not noticing the ice), and muttered something like, "Ice water! That stuff'll kill you!" and walked off the stage. He was done for the night. Some venues I know would have told him in no uncertain terms that if he wanted to get paid, he'd have to get back out there and finish his allotted time. Not this venue. The third time was tonight, 30 July 2023. The Wolff Sisters opened up for GoldenOak. At least, I think they did. The show was supposed to start at 6 p.m. Everything on the website and the print-at-home ticket said 6 p.m. for the start time. The venue is supposed to open at 4 p.m. on Saturdays. I got there about 5:15 p.m. Doors are locked, although the back doors for the band and staff are unlocked. I sat in my car until maybe 5:40 p.m. I went inside, asked one of the staff if anyone was checking for tickets, and was told they don't have a sound system operator. Finally, around 6:05 (for a 6 p.m. show) they start the sound check for GoldenOak. Sound check lasted until about 6:30, then the band packed up so that the Wolff Sisters could come out and do their sound check. At 6:50, with the show's actual start time still maybe 20-25 away, I got up to leave. I told the woman who had been checking our tickets that if this venue is operating on Central Time, they really ought to make that clear on their tickets. She apologized and said that they had sent out an email telling everyone that the show was going to start at 7 p.m. I left anyway. When I got home I checked my email. No such email from the Stone Church was in my inbox. Furthermore, the show information was still on their website, and every place they time was mentioned, it was 6 p.m. There is a term to describe this place, and it rhymes with "Mustard Duck." Needless to say, I won't be back.

If you're looking for a dive bar vibe and live music, this is your place. I said live music, I didn't say it would be GOOD live music. It's a mixed bag, but that's what makes it fun! Sometimes the bands are exceptional, sometimes not. They do offer food, bar bites and such. It's mostly just a watering hole where you can get your fade on. They also have an old piano to the left of the entrance door that you can play. I always bring visitors to my city to the Stone Church, it's a must if you're in Newmarket and you're off the wagon. They used to be known to have very good chicken fingers, but I always seem to go and there aren't any for some reason. They have eluded me for years, maybe they've been removed from the menu.

At bars like the Stone Church that are great music venues you never know what you are going to get when it come to food. For this kind of venue I would say the food is excellent.

I was here on Sunday for a show & would come here again in the future. They have a pretty small menu & I ordered one of the burgers & was decent. Pretty average as far as burgers go. Staff were friendly.

The Stone Church what can I say it's an awesome beautiful music venue restaurant and bar! The open mic is run by great folks who make everyone sound amazingThe beers are great and the staff couldn't be better. See you guys there for open mic, live music and drinks one of the last great old school venues in New England with all the modern touches.

Lots of music choices and good food. It's not just bar food but definitely on the casual side. There are also dining options upstairs if you just want to eat and not pay a cover fee for a band

The 2 ladies at the bar were just the loveliest!! The whole staff rocked the night & were on top of everything! The atmosphere, music, & drinks were amazing! Didn't really have food but the 1 french fry I stole off a friend's plate was 10/10
