10 Best Pubs near North Conway

“We’ve heard great things about May Kelly’s for years but only just went a few weeks ago. Very welcoming staff and super cool, cozy, pub vibes. They have Smithwick’s (personal favorite), Kilkenny and Guinness on tap which is pretty hard to find sometimes. The potato cakes were INCREDIBLE and the reuben sandwiches were also great! Not too much sauerkraut and thick slices of REAL corned beef (none of that thin sliced or pastrami like stuff like other pubs serve on their “reuben’s” which is a deal breaker for me personally. Many other traditional Irish dishes and some pretty awesome looking specials were offered too. Will definitely be back soon! (This place is super busy and can be hard to find a parking spot/have a wait at times but they do have a large seating section and parking lot.)“

“We waited a little long for our dinner, but was absolutely delicious. The Tomato Bisque was one of the best I have tasted. My husband ordered the special and raved about the cornbread stuffing . I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection. Would have preferred risotto over pasta noodles. Would highly recommend for a special dinner.“

“We love their bang bang shrimp. Sweet potato fries are the best here. We’ve never had a bad meal and the service is always great. Wait time is a little long even when the restaurant is empty, but we roll with the punches. Always yummy!“

“Good food. Great ambience. Nice staff. Warm vibe. We had dinner Friday night, 9-26-25. Our poor waiter, nice fellow. He had a table of 10. At the end they gave him 5 credit cards. After he split the check, they argued for 5 separate checks. Absolutely selfish group of people. Would not leave the waiter alone and each argued about their check. Totally rude people who couldn't read the room or that it was peak dinner time. Our dinner was excellent and we left our waiter a nice tip cause I believe he handled that situation better than most would have.“

“We were able to get a table right away during the summertime, which was great. We sat on the outdoor patio, and the umbrellas provided some nice shade. The customer service was also very good!

The French dip sandwich was delicious and came with an interesting sauce that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I was craving a salad after having a ton of heavy food recently, and that was not the best choice here. The roast beef chef’s salad left a lot to be desired, and I wouldn’t order it again. I also love coleslaw, so I ordered that as a side, but unfortunately didn’t enjoy it either.

The beers were good! We tried the Moat Mountain Blueberry, which was yummy, and the Tuckerman’s Pale Ale, which I didn’t love quite as much but still thought was good.

Overall, I think I just ordered the wrong things! All of the sandwiches coming out looked so good, and after trying the French dip, I definitely feel like I need to come back and try another sandwich. The patio, friendly service, and quick seating made it a nice stop.“

“I loved this place. It is a very eclectic bar with tons of character. You will stand there and be wowed by the walls and furniture and everything. My pictures don't do it justice. I love bars. This one ranks,in my top 2 ever. Now, about the bar. The bartender Hannah was fantastic. My first time here and she engaged me and shared the history of the pub. So, service was phenomenal. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and fries, amazing. I can not recommend the Red Parka Pub enough. It was full of people having a great time. Can't wait to get back.“
