Whenever we go to the coast , Al's is always on our list of places to go. We live in Western Vermont and we've been known to leave early in the morning, drive to Al's (3 hours) have a Great Seafood lunch , drive to the Ocean and head back home in the late afternoon.

We just got home from having dinner at Al's. My sister lives in southern Maine and every time I come down to visit, we eat at Al's. The fried seafood is consistently very good and the prices aren't shocking (for seafood on the NH coast in the summer). Eating here is an "experience." You order and pay at the window, then go inside and find a seat; they bring your food when it's ready... very casual (paper plates/plastic utensils) but a friendly atmosphere....
