The place is nice and the food is delicious, but I find it expensive.
Such a great spot and one of my favorite meals on the Seacoast! My only complaint is I wish they were open during the week - a few buns would really pick me up on a rough work day!

Baotastic! Large bao buns with some great combinations. They also offer bowls with proteins. I had the pork belly bao and sesame chicken bao. Both were delicious. Maybe the best sesame chicken the I have ever had. Worth it.

We're happy to discover this place while visiting a part of Portsmouth we were not familiar with. The rice bowls are delicious. Fresh and tasty ingredients are used. There is a big menu with many mouth-watering choices. The pork belly rice bowl was especially good. Go. You will not be disappointed.

Since this place opened up, I haven’t gone anywhere else for lunch in the area. Highly recommend.

I love this bao restaurant and visit every time I come to Portsmouth! I wish they had a location in Dallas, TX.

Beware if you’re using a credit card and from out of town. I initially ordered using my credit card. I was told that my order didn’t go through despite it appearing on my recent transactions. I was asked to pay again because “we didn’t receive it in the kitchen. The receipt didn’t print out so the order didn’t go through.” Tapped a second time, was charged a second time. They again said “that didn’t go through again. Please try again.” The third time I decided to pay cash. Order went through. I was assured by the merchant that it will say “pending” on my card but won’t fully charge. Now I’m in the process of going back and forth with Apple because while my initial disputes were refunded but because of the merchant, my dispute refunds were reversed. Now I’m charged with $384.56 for what should’ve been $131.52. There is exactly a $10 difference between the card and cash because I tipped $10 on the cards both times. In terms of food, possibly because it’s in an area with less competition? Food was average at best for the price point.
