This place deserves a 0 star if that was possible. They served cocktails filled with water and kicked us out. The bread which usually dictates how great the restaurant is tasted like little Debbie made it. Will never go back here or respond to their unexclusive email list. Take a flight to France and sample some real French food.

Trés bien! Delicious as always. You need to be on their emailing list to secure a table at this reservations only establishment

Asked about a possible reservation for dinner in May by e-mail and got back a kurt response back instead of how I could get a possible reservation if they could accommodate me now it makes me feel do I want to have dinner here at all.

Magnifique! Service like no other. I drove 40 miles for this. I pulled up and they delivered my food to the car. We had a three course meal for three. We shared them family style at home becuase everyone wanted to taste each main, and each dessert. We had Salmon provencal, Beef confit bundle and a Duo of duck. With some candle light and a good wine you are transported to France. All were cooked to perfection and the sauces made my tongue think it was in heaven. Best value take out in New England by far.

Food, atmosphere, service, and experience was an absolute 11/10. Thank you for such a wonderful time we look forward to coming back!

Bridge Street is one of the best kept secrets in Portsmouth. Is it even a secret, really? Set just off to the side of the main strip, Bridge Street is tucked in among the houses of Portsmouth residents. It is some of the best French food I’ve had outside of France, too. Their wine list is great, their chef is spectacular, and their service is mostly good but can sometimes be so-so (we’ve dined her probably five times and only had one not the best experience, so more good than so-so). Their Filet au Poivre and Coq au Van are two delightful recommendations and be sure you don’t skip dessert!

Wonderful restaurant in a great restaurant town. Excellent meal and good value. Had wonderful pate and portobello with crab and lobster appetizers. Haddock mains were truly outstanding. Best Portsmouth restaurant of our summer dining.

First time to this restaurant. Dinner for 3. Unfortunately, the cuisine was disappointing. The appetisor portobello mushroom with crab and lobster lacked flavor. The bread basket was nice. The turkey entree was dry. The potato cake was OK. For dessert, the chocolate flourless cake was tasteless and inedible. We had a great time because our company was sensational. Yet, disappointingly the cuisine was way off the mark. Not traditional French cuisine. Wine list extensive. The service OK. As we left the restaurant, (2nd last table to leave) we noted that the server did not thank us or bid us farewell as we walked toward the exit. We left a $40 gratuity on our $209 tab. I would not rush back to this restaurant. Hence the 3 stars. They can do so much better and I believe that they may well know this to be true. I feel that Bridge Street Bistro has seen better days.

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of attending a cooking class and meal at Bridge Street Bistro. Causal and welcoming, the class was very informative and the company of other patrons was great fun. There’s nothing like sitting in a kitchen watching Stephan and Chris prepare a meal. The conversations were lively and the food was exceptional. A good time was had by all.
