One of the most welcoming, friendliest taverns in Portsmouth! Greta food, great atmosphere, great service and affordable prices. Add to this they are "kid friendly" it's a real nice place to go for a couple of drinks in the afternoon.
Stopped in for lunch, our first time, on the Monday President's Day holiday. We found the Clipper to be warm & cozy with great service. We highly recommend the hot Nashville chicken sliders, fish chowder and the blue cheese dressing was also quite tasty. We will be back!

Sadly going downhill fast. What was once some of the best food in the area is now pretty consistently subpar, and frequently awful for delivery now. The addition of live music has killed the atmosphere too, not because its bad but the space is too small and the volume is way too loud.
