Great food, drink, and ambiance. Small dining life for a quiet meal. Service with a smile.

I have been here several times. And the ambiance is always great. The staff is great. I have had the duck, land, and steak, they were all delicious. The French onion soup is really good. Everything I have ordered here has not disappointed in taste. You can spend $100 on one person with food and drinks. But you should come here for the food and experience not the price if that matters to you.

Cure is amazing. The food is outstanding, the service impeccable and the vibe is ideal for a couples date night.

My sister and I had a great meal at the cure. Charming small restaurant with cow art on the walls. The waiter had us laughing the whole time and we grabbed to-go cheesecake to eat in our hotel.

Great food! Great service! I would go there every time I was in town. You will need a reservation though. The place is small and books up quickly. We walked in having just gotten to town, booked up but we were able to make a reservation for the following night.

Our first encounter with The Cure, we had 8:15 reservations but still had to wait a few minutes for a table to be cleaned and set up. In thier defense it was a full house on a Wednesday evening. At first the atmosphere was not bad but the seating area we were given was a bit cramped in the main hallway area and the chairs were uncomfortable. The volume from other guests was loud. I'm going to remove a star in the category due to all of it. I feel that we could have been given a more spacious and relaxing place in the back, next time I will stress this in our call ahead.Yes I will return! The food totally made up the difference. Wicked good cuisine! Everyone one in my party enjoyed The Cure's delicious menu selections chosen including the creative cocktails and decadent dessert.A good time was eventually had by each of us. The Cure was a excellent choice for our celebration of a birthday.Compliments to the very professional, courteous, attentative service staff, exceptional chief and kitchen crew!I would highly recommend The Cure to other foodies looking towards having a great occasion.Vegetarian options: The Vegetarian Ravioli thoroughly enjoyed by a member of my party.

This is our number one Portsmouth spot for special occasions. The food is exceptional, love their craft cocktails and the service is excellent. My favorites are the lobster bisque (I'm a fanatic and this is the best ever) and short ribs with polenta and root vegetables. Always a wonderful experience!

Amazing place. The service and food and atmosphere will all impress any dining situation here. A fine casual feel with friendly patrons and great drinks. Make reservations. I was lucky to walk in and have a meal with 2 others on a Tuesday.

Great atmosphere, super friendly wait staff and hostess team. Food was served in timely fashion, perhaps even faster than expected. As for the food, it was fantastic. Highly recommend making this a destination during your next visit to Portsmouth NH.

We've heard so much about Cure. We dined this evening with good friends. The atmosphere was very loud. There was a 4 top behind us that were heavy into their adult beverages, and got louder as the evening wore on. The table we had was small and tight in the middle of the serving counter. Our waitperson was very nice. Now, the food. Crab cakes were fairly ordinary. Little seasoning. But also little breadcrumbs, so that was ok. I had the lobster mac n cheese. This was really a pot of cavatappi drowned in a lobster bisque soup/sauce. While there were some good pieces of lobster meat, the whole dish was drowned in truffle oil. My lips are still oily. Overall a very overly rich pot of poor tasting pasta. Truffle oil is something that should be left out of such a dish. Our other entree was halibut. It was ok. The bed of spinach was a nice compliment. There was some kind of a white, thick drizzle over it all. Not sure it helped the fish at all. Our friends said they enjoyed their entrees of lamb shank( very tender) and short ribs ( looked a bit greasy to me, be they liked it). Overall, I'm able to cross this off our list, but wouldn't go back again. At almost $200 for two, I'd find somewhere less noisy with a bit less of a heavy hand on the dishes.

special; pan roasted Halibut, it was very good. The gouda polenta was very good as well. My wife had the lobster Mac n' cheese, which is always a winner. We both had the French onion soup, which is a must-have. It is too bad there is no award for the best French onion soup because they would win hands down. As always, the service was great, and the table was nice and cozy on a cold evening.

Quaint, in the sense that it is cramped quarters, but not too bad. They clear everything immediately, which I really appreciate. The drinks came out very quickly and are well balanced, and delicious. The food took a while, but it was very yummy.Vegetarian options: I had the vegetable raviolis they were very good.

Early seating....Excellent/attentive but not hovering wait staff and cute little place. Food and drinks all very well prepared and served! Delicious short-ribs! Only critique I can think of, and it's very minor, is that food temp at service could be increased a few degrees. Excellent!
