We drove through Portsmouth and walked by this place while traveling north. While returning south, decided to stop in and give this place a try. Great choice! This place was awesome. The dishes were delicious and we loved everything we ordered. It was all very fresh and tasty.

The best way I can describe this restaurant is if a dorm room served sushi. Zero ambiance. Unusually bright white lighting. Disorganized random stuff on the shelves behind the sushi bar. Beat up menus.

Finally tried Domo, and while there was nothing wrong with our dinner, I think there are far better sushi options in the greater Portsmouth area. The dining room looks a little worn, and the restrooms were not clean. Service was very rushed, which we did not understand as we were eating early on a Friday evening and the place was not busy. Our waiter wanted to take our food order 3 times before our cocktails were brought over. When all was said and done, we were rushed out in about 50 minutes. Not a nice leisurely dinner. As far as the food, it was simply OK, nothing was exceptional. The one sushi roll we tried was beautifully presented. My unagi sushi was as expected. I had high hopes for the miso eggplant appetizer, but found it to be a bit mushy and the miso overpowered the dish with it's salty/sweet flavor. Beef Negimaki was bland and tasteless. We started with Mai Tai's which looked great, but our first sip tasted like pineapple juice. To our surprise, the drink did actually have a good amount of rum in it, as we felt it by the time we finished. I'm glad we tried, but I don't see Domo being in our regular sushi rotation, given the other options in town.

Sushi rolls are always fresh! Delicious! However, over the last few years(order at least once a month) the size of rolls have been consistently inconsistent! Have questioned staff multiple times and they blow it off. There is also a huge difference in quantity between take out and eat in.

Amazing food!!!! I was extremely happy and satisfied with everything I ordered. The fish was great quality and the plating was very pretty as well. On top of that, the service was very accommodating and I felt very comfortable in the restaurant. I would most definitely come here again; I can say with confidence that I doubt any dish on the menu is not of great quality.

Food outstanding. But dine in service abysmal.. Felt like we were unwanted from the second we walked in. Watched as all others treated with same disrespect by man and woman front staff. The only bad service we had in Portsmouth on a long vacation. We will never be here again. Kind of ruined part of our vacation. Never once smiled even I tried to engage them in conversation.

Went in to grab some sushi, but quickly left. The hostess was polite and brought waters over to my table as we sat down. Immediately noticed both glasses has particles floating in the water. When the server came over I asked for 2 new waters and he made a confused face and stared at me until I repeated what I said. He reluctantly picked up the glass to inspect the water then left without saying anything so we left. I get a restaurant and dishwasher could have made a mistake, but dirty dishes and then the reaction of the server was enough to make me second guess my lunch choice and leave.

Firstly I'll start by saying that the sushi options in the Seacoast area are not great (in our experience so far) but, Domo gives us hope. Its probably the best overall option available in terms of quality and its our go to for sushi. We have only ever had sushi here so cant speak to the bento, noodle dishes etc... One additional positive about this place is their pricing - its very reasonable. Other places put "sushi" on the menu and upcharge the hell out of it and its just not good sushi. That is where a lot of our frustration stems from when it comes to sushi on the seacoast.

Food was excellent. Easy to get to with amble parking places nearby. Only down side was initially thought it was closed, due to a large sign saying for sale or lease. Turned out it was for the upper unit. Now the lower where the restaurant is one.
