I was skeptical to come to this place the first time. Wasn't sure if I was in the mood for a sandwich, but my wife was. Boy oh boy, were we happy we did. The ingredients themselves were nothing fancy, definitely several steps in quality above subway. Bread was warm and fresh, and the ratio of ingredients was great. Every bite was delicious. Also I kid you not when I say the sandwiches were ready about 1 minute after we ordered. Genuinely not sure how they made them that fast....
Nothing beats a classic deli, and this staple hole-in-the-wall sandwich maker and ham dealer is no exception. Ordered the Honey Bee Club to tide myself over between appointments, and it quickly became the main attraction, and not just because it came out fast! The cuts were fantastically thin and plentiful, the condiment ratio perfectly balanced, and the bread hot and fresh. Couldn't ask for more, 10/10!
This is my new favorite sub shop. I wish they had a location closer to home. We got the Honey Bee, Smoke Stack, and Chicken Parm. They were all delicious. The best I've ever had. We will definitely come back next time we're in Portsmouth.
