About State Street Saloon

State Street Saloon is a cozy and welcoming restaurant that offers good food at reasonable prices. The seafood chowder, as many have noted, is a standout dish. The service is friendly and efficient, with staff going the extra mile to make customers feel at home. Whether visitors are stopping in after a long drive for a late lunch or enjoying a casual meal, the restaurant provides a true taste of the Portsmouth community, with its old-school charm and hard-working spirit. Popular dishes include burgers, chicken wings, flatbread, lobster salad, chicken sandwich, fried fish, and the seafood chowder, which is loaded with seafood and served in a light broth. The portions are generous, often enough for two meals. It's a great spot for lunch or a casual evening out.

The restaurant is known for its world-class service, thanks to staff like Lauren, who elevates the entire experience with her personality, professionalism, and positive energy. Customers have praised the charbroiled, thick, and juicy burgers, as well as the good amount of seafood in the chowder. The lobster roll with hot butter has also been well-received, though the fries have been described as "meh." Overall, State Street Saloon provides a true taste of the local community and a memorable dining experience.
