My son and I have gone to Windjammers every Friday night for nearly 10 years. They have the Friendliest staff around England, and a Great selection of food. Their portions are Huge, but rhe prices remain small. 5 Stars!!
We drive from Portsmouth to enjoy our seafood at Windjammers. From the Chowder, to the salmon, to the shrimp each, and every dish is fresh, hot, and wonderfully served by the most friendly and experienced weight staff. Everything is so homemade and delicious at a most reasonable price. Worth the drive from anywhere our favorite restaurant.
Windjammers does a good business at almost every hour - and they even have Take-out.\n..the atmosphere is average, service is very good - but the downside is this is not a restaurant for the health conscious or gluten-free. A lot of fried food. The chowders - both fish and clam are decent. They also have a liquor license but no bar - so one can get a alcohol drink but they don't seem to promote it very well. Being GF - I unfortunately see no return trip in the near future.
