Love the family atmosphere this place has and the baker is amazing!
I love the common cafe. I come here every time I am up visiting from Mass because the food is amazing and the owner is so friendly and kind. I looooove the pizza and the breakfast sandwiches. It is such a unique place!!
It is the The Common Cafe & Tavern!! I have been coming since I was little my parents use to The Common Cafe & Tavern.
lovevthe food and awesome, comfy atmosphere
If they are not wearing masks and gloves and acting like normal people, that is the place I want to go. The last thing we need is you bringing your disease and preaching to us that we should wear a mask and be social distancing.
Warm and cozy atmosphere, menu looked great and extensive.Unfortunately, we walked out on Sunday 9/6/2020 at 1pm after seeing both of the cook / food servers handling all their orders for 10+ minutes with no gloves on.One of the two cooks, a young, very thin male with brown hair, glasses, a black winter cap, dirty black sweatpants and a bright green shirt. Teenage, probably. He appeared to be being trained by the female cook. He was putting bread, kielbasa, pancake mix, and blueberries for the pancakes on the griddle with bare hands. While cooking on an open griddle, he ate blueberries several times with no regard of all the customers watching. I don't think he knew any better and how several of us reacted. The other was a young woman wearing all black, dark hair, and also glasses. She appeared slightly older, early twenties maybe, and seemed to be training the young man. She was not wearing any gloves either, putting kielbasa on the grill with bare hands, touching sourdough for sandwiches with bare hands as well. She reached into several bags / boxes of food with bare hands. At least she wasn't eating and of the food while preparing it like the young man.None of the three employees working wore a mask at any point. I looked, and the box of latex gloves sitting in the work area by the window was not empty. We walked out before our food came out. Not worth asking for a refund, and so much of the raw food had already been touched, breathed on, and eaten over, that it wouldn't have been worth it to request they put their gloves on. Very disappointing experience, regardless of COVID this would have made me walk.
Great food, friendly staff, say yes to the chocolate syrup in your Mocha Rush

Everything on the menu is amazing. The fresh made pasta and bread with homemade oils are a must try.
We sat on the porch and enjoyed an amazing meal. This place is a diamond in the ruff. This place has everything you could want for eats and a good time for any portion of the day.
I go out of my way when Im heading north to get coffee here and the best eclairs I've ever had. Its cozy and the staff is always friendly. I gave four out of five because sometimes they are out of eclairs, just kidding, is it always the most perfect like when the mild chili was quiet spicy, no but it is a nice small venue that is not like any other and not a chain. Their coffee brand is the best. Always a fan and Rumney is a sweet side trip of a small town.
I can't wait for the coffee shop to open again, its such a cozy place great coffee and I am dreaming of the pastries , especially the eclairs! Always a friendly staff!
Small venue. Everyone was happy. No grumpy or unruly people. Great music.
