We were there for a birthday celebration and had heard nothing but great reviews from family members who have dined at The Carriage House in the past. It certainly lived up to the great reviews. We sat upstairs in the bar area and it was crowded and lively, but you could still have a conversation without yelling. We started with a couple glasses of red wine and an appetizer of coppa. For our meals, I had NY sirloin cooked medium. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. My wife had the bluefin tuna, which she said was fabulous. The Parker House rolls are also a must have. We shared a birthday dessert of Basque cheesecake and it was delicious. Our server was the bartender and she was busy, but very attentive. I highly recommend The Carriage House.

The food is inventive and comforting. The house offers a lot of different seating options with warm ambience. This was our first time dining here, but it certainly won't be our last. There are so many delicious menu choices, and we look forward to trying more of them.

The Carriage House is our "go to" location when we have friends visiting. Cuisine, setting and service is always superb .

Driving along the ocean with the sun setting in my rearview mirror on my way to my first experience at Carriage House for an early dinner in January was stunning. We were fortunate to be seated in front of the REAL fireplace which was well tended by the staff. The winter squash salad was the best I have ever had. This is the place if you are looking for a magical evening!

Dinner was terrific. The mushroom toast and winter squash salad were wonderful as were the short ribs. Our server was really good too. We will be back !

Our third time there. Wonderful atmosphere. Terrific service. Very good Manhattan cocktail. Halibut and Scallops were both terrific dishes. Could use one or two more items on the entree list, perhaps another meat option.

This was our first time at the Carriage House (Sat 1/3), but won't be our last. From the quaint table by the window on 2nd floor with a beautiful ocean view, to our amazing server, our experience was beyond 5 stars. The shrimp cocktail was spectacular and so fresh! Their Parker rolls were warm and buttery and the halibut was delicious! So light but incredibly flavorful! My husband had the Persian gnocchi which was divine! Our waters were always filled and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great job Carriage house!!

Carriage House is one of the most consistently excellent restaurants in the seacoast area. The food, service and ambiance all combine to make it a great place for both a special occasion or just dinner with friends. We personally appreciate that it's not so foodie we can't find something we like on the menu. In fact, we often have a hard time picking among our favorites! We did miss the beef bolognese this visit. :)

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve pri fix dinner at Carriage House in RyeNH. Can't say enough the food was excellent with choices on all from appetizers to dessert and drinks, too. The staff never rushed. The chef and owners do an excellent job. I recommend this restaurant for a unique special dining experience.

Most memorable gastrnomic experience on New Year's Eve starting with a smoked salmon “amuse bouche”; carmelized onion tarte and foie gras appetizer; duck ravioli; perfectly-seared blue fin tuna on Minnesota wild rice; and an amazingly complicated dessert of treacled chocolate cake and homemade marscapone ice creamall served with warmth , informed graciousness, and friendship by Julia and amazingly all within walking distance of our home in Rye Harbor! If there was ever a perfect gourmet neighborhood restaurant, The Carriage House is it hands down.

Amazing dinner experience. I have been twice and each time was incredible. First we shared the parker rolls which were light, fluffy and served with truffle butter. We then had raw oysters and oyster rockafeller which were incredible. For meals we had the New York strip and the Parisian Gnochi which is new to the menu. Every bite was bursting with flavor and I could eat it every day for the rest of my life. Erin was our waitress and we were celebrating a new job, she kindly brought us two desserts that we couldnt decide between and they were both amazing! Overall 10/10 experience and cant wait to go back in the summer.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time and finally made a reservation a few weeks ago—and I was so impressed that I brought my parents back to celebrate their birthdays. From the cozy atmosphere to the genuinely friendly staff, the restaurant feels warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. We ordered several appetizers and entrées, and everything was excellent. Special shoutout to the white fish pâté, it was outstanding. We also couldn't help but notice a giant pile of fries passing by our table, so of course we had to order them, and they absolutely did not disappoint (we ate every last one). On our first visit, the food took a little longer to come out, which we honestly didn't even notice because we were enjoying our conversation. The staff was incredibly attentive, the waitress came over to apologize, and the owner personally stopped by twice and even treated us to complimentary espressos. That level of care really stood out. Both times we visited, the owner was actively working and seating guests, which is refreshing to see and speaks volumes about how much he cares about the restaurant and the experience he provides. I'll be spending a lot of time in the Seacoast next year, and this restaurant will absolutely be one of my regular spots. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best meals both of us have ever had! We'd never been to The Carriage House before, so we had no idea what to expect. We ordered 6 Wellfleet oysters to start - and they were perfect! Cold, crisp, and briny. I had the scallops for my entree; 5 beautifully prepared scallops with small potatoes, beets, and Brussels sprouts. My partner had the NY strip steak with shitake mushrooms, a wonderful layered potato dish, and garbanzo beans. Each meal was absolutely awesome! We then splurged and had the Chocolate Budino for dessert - which was delicious. In regard to the ambiance, it was also wonderful. We were first seated in a small room, but when we asked if it would be possible to move to a table closer to the fireplace, we were kindly accommodated. And the wait staff was super. We both have nothing but positive comments to make. We'd definitely recommend The Carriage House for a special, splurge of an experience. Hope to go back soon!!

The cocktails, wine and food were exquisite. We especially enjoyed the pasta with truffle, the mushroom toast, the whitefish salad, scallops and haddock! Looking forward to returning when the weather is a little nicer!
