My mom & I frequent Petey's every time we hit the coast! They have the best seafood, onion rings & coleslaw we've ever had anywhere! The prices are reasonable & the portions are the perfect size, with the right amount of fries & we always have leftovers! We started with each of us getting the fried fisherman's platter! Then, we decided to share one instead, as my mom loves haddock & sea scallops & I love the whole body clams & sea scallops! Now we order the pick 2 fried combo! She gets her 2 favorites & I get mine! Their coleslaw & onion rings are delicious! I always order a side of rings to share & additional coleslaw to take home! The service is also friendly & wonderful. Out of all the times we've eaten there we've only had so, so service 1 time! We can't rave enough about Petey's Seafood!
Parking: We've never had an issue finding parking, even on there busiest days! It can get a bit tight at times, but No complaints here!

We really enjoyed our lobster dinner at Petey's. We were traveling up from Georgia and decided on this place after several recommendations from the locals. We were glad we dropped in. Lobsters were enormous. The claws were bigger than my wife's hand. They were very well cooked and extremely delicious. The one piece of feedback to anyone eating here. Don't get the sides. You won't have room for them after eating the entire lobster. Excellent service by our waitress. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped us southerners with how to eat every single bite of the lobster. We will go back, next time we're in town. Highly recommend.

Had a 2 lb. lobster around lunch time. While the service was fine and the atmosphere was lovely, I think it’s safe to say this place is better known for their fried seafood. The lobster was overdone, so for $42 I’d rather have had the haddock, a beer, and some clam chowder. Not a bad place to eat, just probably not the best joint for lobster.
My wife and I decided to try this place for lunch following a recommendation. It is a very busy spot and the staff are focused on quick service. There are lots of greasy menu items and it is more of a classic greasy diner but serving mainly seafood. All the food is served on paper plates and in paper cups. It obviously is enjoyed by many, but not to my liking.

Tonight I am really upset.I have known Pete since he was 20 and I've known his Mom forever.I live in Rye and during covid we would eat there a few times a month my husband always left a 40 to 50% tip for whoever served us, times were difficult.. I am so sick, I can't smell anything or taste anything and I am now on 72 hours without eating.I was asked what I would like to eat, all I wanted was Petey's scollops and a small chowder 1) stir the damn chowder It is my favorite chowder, but without any stock Is just light cream 2)wrap scollops in a paper towel then tinfoil to keep hot before putting in container.If they get here cold I won't be able to eat them because I can't taste them if they are cold.My husband tried to explain but was cut off and told no special orders too busy.But she wasn't too busy to give him 2 pieces of pistachio pie, which I AM SURE HE ENJOYED BECAUSE HE CAN STILL HAS TASTE WITH COLD FOOD...I DO NOT So your cold pie and cold scallops went in the trash because they were cold. IF you had the courtesy to listen at the walk up instead of be rude...you would have a better review...I am so upset with whoever you are. ALL I wanted were scollops that were warm So I COULD TASTE THEM

We just arrived in New England from Arizona on our vacation. Driving to Maine, we decided to stop for dinner. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and the service was amazing! This was a great way to start our vacation!
