I've never eaten such a horrible fries in my life. French fries should never be defective. It's something super cheap and easy to make. This looked like the end of the package, tiny pieces and super sinked, so disappointment!

Wow, I’m stingy with my stars, but this place earned all five! We dove into poutine AND the pork fries, and chicken sandwiches! We stuffed up with mac and cheese the cherry on top!? Deffinitly the ice cream with caramel and bacon! — and I’m picky, so that’s saying something! Left with a full belly and takeout boxes. Oh, and the cream soda and sweet tea? Chef’s kiss. See ya tomorrow for round two!

Outstanding barbecue. We got the Pig Pile to share between the 2 of us. Huge portions. Seasonal cocktails are on point. Highly recommend the maple old fashioned and the spiked apple cider. We will be going back for sure

The place is filled with flies I ordered pulled chicken and got chicken thighs. My boyfriends grits were a puddle of butter and his pork fries had two chunks of pork on them no sauce.

Had Smokin' Barrels cater a party at my house for 75 people. It was amazing and they were great to work with! Everyone loved the food.
Desiree was a happy and energetic server. This was the first time here. The smash burger was awesome! The bacon mac and cheese was really good. The ribs were good. The food came out pretty fast, too. Margaritas were good. The only complaint was with the corn bread... it was cold, a little dry, not enough butter for both muffins, and it had green specs ( I am assuming sage?). I guess I am just used to hot muffins. Other than the one item, it was a pretty good experience. Will give it another try.

They decorated the place really well with some really cool features. Super clean and staff so friendly. Thw food though, SO GOOD! I got the brisket and fries. The brisket was so tender I cut it with a fork and had a crispy perfect bark. Hubby got the smash burger with smoked mac and cheese. He was so jealous of my hand cut crispy fries he ate moat of them. He said his burger was perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese equally as delicious but was expecting a little smokier flavor. Even so this visit was a 10/10 and we WILL be returning!

Servers were friendly and responsive, but the food was meh. I had a brisket plate, which was dry and, as a result, not tender. This eatery has a challenge as there is so much good barbecue in the region. They may have been having an off day, but if I found myself in Barrington again, I would probably try some other cuisine in that area instead.

Excellent traditional southern BBQ plus some interesting surprises like Portuguese inspired linguica and peri peri mayo. Maybe the best grits I've ever had. The linguica fries were my favorite dish. The fries are cooked in tallow to crispy perfection.
