Sanbornton Country Store

First of all, I'd give 10 stars if I could.
Yesterday (St. Patty's day) I was up shxt creek without a paddle. I was completely out of gas and had lost my card to an ATM in Portsmouth. I was coming back home from VT with my 4 yr old and had 60+ more miles to go to get home with no money whatsoever. I went in and explained my pickle to the man behind the counter, and I asked about trading my license for $20. He agreed without hardly any hesitation!! And I got to keep my lisence. He even gave my toddler a lollipop! I left him with my name and number. Problem is, I never got his name. I plan on sending him his money back, but need his name, please. Or have him text me at that number I gave him.
I would have been sooo screwed yesterday if he hadn't loaned me that gas. I was hours away from anyone that could have helped me. I NEED to pay him back 🙏 🙌

This store is a gem and the owner, Kristy, is so delightful! My husband and I are from Texas and are always looking for local brews to try. We really enjoy the wide variety of craft beers & ciders that are stocked here (they even have a walk in beer cooler!). It’s a must stop when we are in town! Have a sweet tooth? Grab one of their delicious, giant, fresh cookies for the road - yum! I’m not saying the store is lucky but I’ve often won on scratch off tickets that I have purchased at this store ☘️ Keep up the awesome work, Kristy!

Had to stop at this gas station due to a car sick passenger, the employee was extremely kind when I asked for some plastic bags! She even gave me a roll of paper towel free of charge. I offered to pay twice but she said it was ok. I’m extremely grateful for her kindness and understanding and would definitely stop here again if I end up in New Hampshire in the future. Thank you again for your kindness today!

I was coming home from a short trip up to Woodstock. I unfortunately hit something and found myself with a flat tire. It was pouring outside. Luckily I made it before I totally lost my tire. Lisa and Kristy were incredibly kind. They let me wait inside while AAA was dispatched. They took care of me when I was cold, scared, and over 100 miles from home. New Englanders are the kindest people. I was so lucky that I knew the area as I used to live nearby. I'm just so grateful for their kindness.

Great little store! I’ve been shopping there for years. there’s a lot to be said for a business that remembers their regular customers. The staff is always extremely friendly and always remembers my order and has it ready before I reach the counter.Keep up the great work!

Kristy was so nice, and the bathrooms were very clean! Great selection of IPAs and locally made ice cream flavors

Christine was a great help. We had a flat tire on our trailer and she let us keep it there. So, we could get what we needed to fix it. Thanks for all your help.

The Food was not delicious

Stopped and got gas. Place is ok looking. They need to update their pumps so we can pay at the pump instead of going inside.

I was very disappointed, Will not recommend it to other's.

The lady with the short hair. Decided to change her cash drawer when I wanted to pay. I waited there for 15mins. I would of left, but I had already opened up the food that I was buying.

I love the owner and Lisa as well as the nice man that works the evenings but I can honestly say that the woman “Christie” that works there is not at all about customer service or ever has a smile on her face. You certainly don’t want someone that should be about customer service to be rude or impersonal to any customers.A formal apology to any customer affended is the right way to handle a disheartening situation so that customer will feel they want to come back again and again especially when that person has lived in this town for over 20 years.

We have been going here for years... It's convenient and clean. The service has always been excellent and we are always met with a smile! Gas is cheaper here than in town. They always have what I need on the shelves and there is an ATM here as well. Thanks!
