First time visiting, it is nice to have a great restaurant so close to home. Growing up in the area seeing the Inn and restaurant change a few times it is nice to see something new and exciting there for a change.
I was a little skeptical at first as this is a difficult part of NH to make a go of a smaller/independent, quality restaurant - however that is just what Heartwood is doing. They are truly invested in delivering a positive dining experience at a reasonable price. The menu is limited, but that's ok with us because the limit allows them to focus and do it correctly. The food was presented well, came out timely and was actually flavorful without being overly sauced or buried/lacking...
I’m glad finally made it to have dinner in this place. Amazing food, amazing staff. Chicken Marsala is a must, very well balanced. Also had cauliflower and burger. Will try their butter chicken for next visit.
