“Was here for a short stay. Breakfast was quick and tasty for the price. Had a loaded breakfast burrito. Coulda had more veggies in it but verys solid nonetheless”
“Food & drinks: If you're there while the bar and restaurant are open, Do Go! The food is phenomenal along with the chefs. The bar is savvy with a healthy selection of beers on tap, mixed drinks, and even a nice selection of wines to choose from.Noteworthy details: This petite bar/restaurant and hotel is a niche business. The B&B type, locally owned and operated with comfy rooms in the 1800's Colonial style house is a taste of yesterday with enough modern updates to make it fun and memorable. I love the staff and have enjoyed meeting friends for dinner and drinks here many times. Great spot for a birthday, get together, or other small celebrations. They even have craft faire sometimes. Reminds me of the early years of United States Freedom, baby!”
“The Woods Grille hosted my book launch party in their upstairs space and I would recommend it to anyone! Their hospitality was incredible, the food was delicious, and everyone wished the space was their own because of how well designed and decorated it is. If you're looking to host an event, definitely head to the Woods Grille.”
“Muddy Road Brewery, aptly named for the beautiful road in, is a sweet little brewery. Located on a quiet country road, this brewery is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. The service is friendly and genuine. The beer is fantastic! Be sure to try a flight because there are so many varieties to sample. They have pizza, made fresh on site in a little food truck, which was tasty and priced well. You can sit inside or out and the place is dog friendly. If you are looking for great beer, great service, good music and a relaxing atmosphere, then you will not be disappointed. Don't forget a growler to go! Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.”
“Fun stop for drinks and food with friends! Although Northwood is slightly out of the way for us - we would gladly revisit for lunch with friends. They have a large selection of beers and a hard seltzer for non-beer drinkers. We had been looking forward to trying their pizza. It is absolutely amazing, perfectly crunchy, and the large size is perfect to split with a group. In addition to their pizza, they also have a variety of apps and beautifully crafted pastries. Overall - this restaurant is worth returning to.”
“I stayed at the Getaway in Epsom NH for a couple of nights. The plan was to relax on Friday evening and then do some hiking on Saturday. Mother nature had different plans. Friday night was clear and perfect. After dinner, I went to Blasty Blough. Dave, the owner, was welcoming, informative, and genuinely hospitable. During the course of my visit, he gave me a printed map of some hiking trails near Getaway and also how to take a trail to get from Getaway to the brewery. There was a fun mix of locals and other visitors at the bar and tables. The atmosphere makes people jwant to chat with each other and be social. The beers were great. Very diverse Selection ranging from Pilsner, Belgians, IPAs, stouts, all delicious! Saturday started with snow in the morning and then quickly change to rain for the rest of the day. Put a damper on hiking plans. I ended up back at the brewery. The second night was as good as the first. The beers were still delicious and the company was great. Dave is a local treasure. This brewery is worth a visit. Leave yourself some time to really sit and enjoy it. Can’t wait to get back. Cheers”
“Very happy with service and food nice to have homemade. We have gone in to eat and had takeout either way food is awesome. Not a lot of tables so hit or miss if dining in. The best part is they are reasonable on prices! Definitely worth the trip.”
“I frequent here often. I adore the ladies that work there, they are friendly, kind, accommodating. The food is delicious and extremely reasonable prices. It's my favorite pizza place!”
“Stopped here for the first time the other day and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee, treats and breakfast sandwiches we had were simply the best. No really, each of the items we received were the best we've ever had. We will certainly be regulars going forward.”
“Very nice ice cream stand! The prices are very fair and the portion size is excellent!!! You definitely get your money's worth here!! The ice cream is very delicious and the hot fudge brownie is excellent. I was extremely impressed with this small stand. I highly recommend this location and I will be returning when in the area again!”
“Best breakfast around!! They are the only ones who cook my eggs to perfection!!! Everything is always yummmmmy!!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped accessible”
“We live in Sicily and have relatives who live in Massachusetts and Barnstead. While visiting in Barnstead we decided to take a chance and walked into this place. Tucked in back was a pizzeria and we decided from the aroma it was a good choice. Our pizza was ordered with light sauce and crispy!!!Let me tell you something!!!! The pizza was spectacular! If I wasn’t embarrassed I would have ate the entire thing. Perfection In Every way!La pizza era deliziosa! Complimenti!Nate was the pizza maker and I must say the pizzas we ate at Polcari’s in Saugus, Ma and Santarpio’s could learn a thing or too! Thank you!”
“We ordered a couple of pizzas for delivery while in town. They were delivered in the amount of time provided by the restaurant and the pizza was fantastic! It seems very fresh and one of the pizzas was special request as someone dining with us is allergic to garlic and they were able to accommodate the special request. I would order again.”
“Was there on a busy Saturday afternoon. Only one bartender and two servers to handle a busy crowd. They did a great Job. Also saw the owner checking on customers and assisting the staff as needed. A good pub atmosphere with a good pub menu.”
“I was looking for something different in the area and found this cute cozy bar/restaurant with amazing food reviews. The food was really delicious! The lobster bisque was perfect. The prime rib, mashed and asparagus were also very yummy - served Fri/Sat nights. My friend had the fish tacos and loved that they were made with haddock, they weren’t fried, and the sriracha cream on them was just enough kick. We had a beer on tap which was good, though there wasn’t a huge selection and that’s ok there was just enough variety for everyone. They had a couple cocktail specials posted and full bar too.The sign warned outside for staffing shortage and to be patient which is to be expected now a days. However, our server/bartender was fabulous and the food came out hot and fresh.Prices were very reasonable and the vibe was lively but also comfy. I’ll definitely be back.Oh and they are closed Tuesdays. If you really love tacos, get them elsewhere on Tuesday and double down that week because they have $2 tacos on Wednesday instead!”
“Great food and exceptional service! We had breakfast and everything we ordered was delicious. The waffles were amazing - light and fluffy and no syrup needed! Wish we would have found this place earlier in our stay in the Alton area for Bike week. Would recommend to everyone ? We'll be back next time we're in the area.”
“Had the Reuben on rye, french onion soup, jalapeno poppers, chicken Parmesan bites. Chicken Parmesan bites were good, basically Italian bread crumbs coated bite size chicken pieces with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on them and Marina for dipping(a little more Parmesan cheese would've made them perfect). French onion soup was very strong and flavorful but it was a good flavor and well made. The Reuben on rye was perfect! The jalapeno poppers were basically what you expect with cream cheese filling. Overall very good meal. Wonderful waitress was fast, attentive and timed her table visits perfectly. Food was quick from the kitchen. Atmosphere was casual and friendly. My friends had diet Cokes with their meals and said they seamed a bit watery. We all agree we'd be going again.Parking: Plenty of flat, door adjacent parkingWheelchair accessibility: Flat parking lot with minimal door jamb interference but might not fit anything wider than standard. Plenty of seating options to move chairs and get right up to the table. Judging by the hospitality I'd be willing to bet they'd help in any way they could.”
“Busy holiday weekend and had a big order. Decided to try the walk up and they were extremely quick and great attitude. Order was perfect and nothing but good stuff to say on this one. ?Vegetarian options: New Beyond Meat Sandwich. Bagel thin, with cheese, egg and beyond patty.Parking: Drive thru on the inside, parking spots on the outside. Very nice.”
“Was out for Halloween and stopped somewhere that ended up being dead and boring. We had heard the Hawgs pen was also having one, so we decided to wing it! Boy, are we glad we finally decided to stop in and check it out! So much outdoor seating with a fire and a live band! The place was packed, and we had a blast. The poison apple drink I had was amazing! We will definitely be back again soon!”
“Magnificent view from this restaurant - you can see Parker Mountain, Sanders Ledge, Blue Job, and even(I think) Rochester Hill. We had burgers for a early dinner(late lunch?), and they were excellent.Beer selection was great, the food was great, and the servers were attentive. Everything was top notch. We'll be going here again in the future. The south side of the restaurant has a gentle ramp to the front door - it should be handicapped accessible.”
“Fast and friendly take out.Plain fried was was weird, somehow. I had to doctor it up to make it edible.Pu pu platter, plain lo mein, mei fun noodles, curry chicken, and moo goo gai pan (sorry, spelling?) were all real nice. We'll be back, our new favorite Chinese place (though that's not saying much, sadly).”
“Simple counter service though they do have a few tables for two just inside the storefront. Food was good, quick and hot. Reasonably priced for prepared food with good quality and great service.Parking: Shared lot with several other business fronts.”
“Pizza here is best in the area, great crust and sauce - diverse toppings and quick service!! I love how convenient and easy this takeout is as well as it's in a full supply gas station which has lots of other options if you need minor groceries!! Always clean and bright, the space is well kept and the people are super nice!! Check it out if you haven't!”
“Good food good prices. Everything priced on menu is the same you pay. The steak bomb had tomatoes. which we didn't ask for. so not sure if it was someone's else's that we got instead.”
“ive lived in this town my whole life and ping garden has always been my go to when i want some chinese food. theyre so friendly and make sure your order is nice a hot before you get it. always will support this business !!”
“I order here regularly and highly recommend the classic cheese pizza and steak and cheese sandwiches. The people are friendly and happy to help with whatever you need. A++”
“Pretty good food, reasonably priced. If you call in a order make sure you get all your stuff. Whoever's pushing the employees to work faster should take a step back. If I order Chinese (this is where I go it's the place to go) . From time to time there's something missing. It's usually a big order but regardless it's still frustrating, you pay all the money for the food and you expect to get it.”
“The food is delicious, well portioned, quickly prepared and local to me. The menu has plenty of options that fit anybody's food preferences. My favorites are the vegetable lo mein, scallion pancakes, and general Tao's chicken.”
“First time visiting, it is nice to have a great restaurant so close to home. Growing up in the area seeing the Inn and restaurant change a few times it is nice to see something new and exciting there for a change.”
