“We have ordered sushi take out a few times and had lunch there recently. The food is excellent with plenty of choices that we like. The service is good, a bit too fast if you want to relax a bit and hang outI don't care much for the atmosphere. The music was a bit loud and annoying. The view of the parking lot is not great (nothing anyone can do about that of course)Inside is not what I would call cozy, it is modern and a bit sterile. Good place for lunch but I think we prefer to do take out and bring it back home. Take out is easy to order (app) and pick up is very fast“
“Everything was excellent. The fish tank was outstanding. I walked in looking for a lunch and got the fastest service, I have ever had. Two delicious spicy salmon handrolls and a cup of green tea, my favorite meal. Could not have asked for a better experience, start to finish. And I'm not kidding about the fish tank; huge channel cat.“
“The sushi here is fantastic, with an emphasis on the Chef's special rolls. They have some classic combos, but some of their unique creations will blow you away. I tried the No. 456 Roll tonight and it was incredible. I've tried the hibachi in house and also "to-go" and the portions are great, food is great both ways. This place is a blast especially with a large group.“
“Mall chicken just hits different. I had spring rolls also but they were so good I couldn't get a picture. This delicious plate of food has got to be the best value around and has been since I was in highschool. My son and I split the #1 Teriyaki Chicken, vegetables and noodles and it is still the most delicious meal in all of the mall. The prices are very reasonable for the portions and it's all cooked fresh. The staff are always so friendly! Cash only“
“Mei Wei....where do I even start? Mei; That name reminded me of my late wife (May). She was a Vietnamese firecracker from Phuoc Hua, a small village outside of Ho Chi Minh City. She was the light of my life and when I lost her, the world went still, I lost that light. I traveled the world searching for it. I scoured high and low for something to take me back to that time and restore me to my old self. I almost lost faith until I stumbled upon Mei Wei. My granddaughter goes to UNH and she took me and her father there for a dinner date and it was eye opening. The food was delicious, it fueled my imagination and my heart. The Pork Lo Mein was so delectable that it almost brought a tear to my eye. Finally, sushi was to die for and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. Mei Wei gave me something that no other place, thing or person ever had since I lost my dear May. Mei Wei brought my light back. It gets my ultimate endorsement and I am eternally grateful for this small restaurant tucked away in Durham.“
“Had sushi, vegetable egg roll, vermicelli bowl, curry chicken. All were very good. Only complaint was that everything came at once. For the vermicelli this was good because it give the opportunity to put in the fresh Thai basil and let it steep a while. It comes to the table too hot to eat. But for the curried chicken it was a still warm but not hot. That could have been served later.Vegetarian options: I don't think they have any vegan options but they have several dishes with no animal protein.“
“Good food and nice service. The food was pretty slow to arrive to the table, but they had a large party there. The server was great about communicating the reason for the delay. Sushi was really good, and the other dishes and cocktails were average. I would eat here again if I was in the area.“
