My daughter and I went there for dinner last night. We were promptly greeted and seated by smiling faces, however as soon as our waitress came over it was "oh no" right off the bat. We knew she shouldn't be waitressing...she was totally lost and struggling. We waited 1hr for our app and expos kept trying to give us other tables food (probably not their fault). At long last, the Blue Canoe is open, and it was worth the wait! Despite the craziness of opening night, the food was great and the staff was up to the challenge of a full house. The Ceasar salad was appropriately sized and had a tasty, zesty dressing that was perfect. The croutons were ordinary, so no extra points there. Beautiful outdoor seating area and very tasty lobster roll was at The Blue Canoe. they enjoyed the coconut shrimp bowl, the stuffed flounder special, corn bread appetizer and apple crumble dessert, all described as excellent and terrific. The cocktail list was The Big City Cat made with amazing gin. Service was warm, funny and incredibly knowledgeable, turning a great dinner into a really special experience.
