Food and drinks: An incredible place to enjoy a great meal! The dishes are delicious, made with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. Every bite is an experience. The drinks are exceptional, offering options from classic to creative, all perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is impeccable. Definitely a place I want to return to. Highly recommended!

Stopped in to the birchwood to try some different food! Jambalaya! Was very tasty with a cold IPA! Fairly quiet but day after thanksgiving! Will definitely try it again!
Beautiful, dining room and excellent food, for all four of us

Just a perfect little room at a beautiful inn. We checked in a tad early which was really nice of Amy & her husband Matthew. Humongous towels, cut-up fruit in mini fridge, cozy couch and comfortable bed, and the historic feel of the room layout with all its nooks were some of our favorite things about the space. The restaurant downstairs was another great convenience and their food was delicious. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

When we want a delicious home cooked meal we can always count on the Birchwood.Everything that we have ever had on the menu has been delicious my favorite being the pesto pasta with chicken and the Dijon chicken. The service is like no other!Natalie,Wendy And Amy and everyone else that works so hard there do such a fantastic job! Someday I would love to stay over for a girls night just to experience the inn feel!! We truly love this gem of a place and hope they are around for a very long time!!
Staying at the Inn on a Saturday. Asked what time the tavern was open until, after having an early dinner there. We were told "open until 9pm"...Went in at 8:15 for a nightcap, and were told that they were closed because it was slow, while other patrons were still at the bar...it was our 23rd Anniversary.
We all got the surf & turf special to splurge after our Wilton town hall wedding. We’ve been here before and just got apps but this was so good. Cooked perfectly. Flavor was amazing. Does not disappoint.

Called in to book a dinner for a birthday, but whoever was in charge of booking at the restaurant during the call, wrote it down for the wrong day and made a public facebook post saying it was our fault they had to turn away customers. Had to find somewhere else to go for birthday dinner. Cute local place with fantastic food and great servers, didn't have a bad experience here until this happened. Just be careful when booking things with them. Perhaps calling people who made reservations the day before (or a few days) to make sure all the dates and times were written down correctly would help instead of having to turn away customers?

The fish fry was cold and soggy and the swordfish was really good.
The atmosphere is just so cozy and inviting! The food has always been amazing! The owners are so welcoming and friendly!! Great place!
Food & drinks: We actually didn't like the food. Risotto looked and tasted more like mashed potato, swordfish was overcooked and became really dry, I have no idea what they did to poor scallops, they were horrible. They don't use anything to drain the fat from the bacon. Instead, they use that fat to make the sauce, at least it tasted like bacon fat. You can do it just if you want to ruin the dish.
