I go here almost weekly. The food from here just feels better. You can tell it’s quality.

Love this place! So delicious and different from your typical restaurant. Everyone is so friendly and there’s a great sense of community.

I only write reviews about places that gave me a great experience. I don't give less than five stars because it would imply lack in some areas. That's just me. I'm not a professional critic. I'm a professional encourager.
The Root is completely unlike any other roadside/wayside cafe. It's a huge New England style barn. Spacious and spartan. The outstanding feature is the WOOD! The history is implied through one's imagination. No decor, no theme necessary. Large tables spaced far apart for intimacy among friends. My latte was the best! My server was bright, knowledgeable, and completely focused on me, skilled in the art of conversation. He added to my delightful experience. And musical entertainment is scheduled routinely. The Root is rooted in faithfulness to its patrons.

Lovely atmosphere. Coffee is really strong. Didn't agree with us. Service is limited to bringing your meal out with a fork and knife. You fix your own coffee and tea. Food was good.

The Root is the best place to eat and relax. Not only is the freshly prepared food excellent, but the relaxed atmosphere keeps calling you to return over and over. Do not miss giving The Root a try when having breakfast or lunch.

The Root offer the best food, from scratch, with the friendliest service. I drive 20 minutes to get there.

Lovely atmosphere, great breakfast sandwich. However the dirty chai was the worst I've ever tasted...extremely bitter and grassy..so I'll be staying clear of that in the future. Wish they had some more non-coffee options. Definitely will
