We're regulars over many years - on our drives north to our home, we often stop at Tilton Diner in the evening. This time, it was not very crowded; we were seated at the opening of the kitchen pick up area which was unfortunate. Our waitress could not have been less interested in serving us; she barely looked at us. She never asked how our food was. My Reuben sandwich was low on corned beef, and 3 of the pieces were so rubbery/ gristly, I couldn't chew it and left it on my plate. This has never happened before at T.D. My husband got and loved the Shepherds' Pie last time and ordered it again. It was completely different and lacked flavor. He was disappointed. The homemade chips were delicious. The Grape Nut pudding a la mode was the BEST we have ever had there. A heated generous portion with just enough ice cream. I asked to leave off the cream but the waitress missed that. Again, I felt that she couldn't have cared less about us I wonder if there are new cooks? Hopefully we'll have our usual good experience, next time.

Always stop by here for cheap but high quality food always so delicious and one of the best places for food in Tilton. Water tastes like blood but haven’t gone in a while so I don’t know if this is fixed.

Honestly I can’t say anything good about this place, I ordered one of the worst meatball subs of my life here, the food was so unseasoned and the meatballs were so mushy to the point my grandmother had to spit it out, and she didn’t even touch her meal. The only thing I genuinely enjoyed here were the fries and salad, even though they gave me soggy croutons with it. Money wasted.
