Stopped here on St Patricks Day. Really good food, staff were able to help find something for our gluten free vegetarian, and the milk shakes (go with Maple) are fantastic.

If you're from the area you know how limited the options are in the immediate area of Walpole NH and Bellows Falls VT. I would put The Hungry Diner in at least the top 5 greatest places to eat in the area. Don't let the name fool you, because when I think diner this place offers almost zero similarities to anything I would conjure in my mind relating to a "diner". What makes this excellent? The food is consistently great. The service is consistently great. And what more could one really hope for from a good restaurant? It's clean and inviting. Has everything from a great list of local craft brews on tap to the one of the best milkshakes I've had in the area (Sorry Walpole Creamery and Dari Joy). The prices may not be the friendliest if you are on a tight budget, but man is the food just consistently great! Price point would be the only real criticism I could give, but being in business myself I know you can't get both cheap and high quality at the same time. This place remains one of our top places to eat in the area, with the other being just across the river at Wunderbar in Bellows Falls. So, if you haven't tried either of these places you don't know what your missing out on. We would consider ourselves "foodies", I say this only to provide a point of reference for our tastes. Haven't had bad food there yet. Hope this helps!

What a terrific place! EVERYTHING perfect! Went by accident as the pizza place next door was closed for a private party. Fresh, delicious dishes with local meats and cheeses. Staff went out of their way to welcome us and show appreciation for us being there which is hard to find nowadays. Prices are reasonable for quality food. Will definitely return even though we are an hour and a half away. Such a treat.

It was slammed the day I went. The food was good, but not great. The staff was amazing considering how busy they were. The atmosphere was a little chaotic for my tastes, but again they were very busy. The prices were a bit more than I expected, but not outrageous.

Wow, this place was excellent. We were visiting town during a week of skiing and Hungry Diner was recommended to us. The homemade clam fritters were excellent as well as pork burgers and beer selection. The staff was attentive and gave good suggestions when ordering. Multiple people checked on us to make sure all was good. I'd visit again for sure if I ever get back to that town.

Kid-friendliness: I love taking my son here, he loves the food and hes usually a picky eater. There's beautiful outdoor seating, a swingset and toys to play with for the kids!!! It's honestly perfect in the summer. I look forward to those warm summer days, enjoying my food outside, and then after some icecream I push my son on the swing. We have some great memories there.

I’ve eaten here about 10 times now and the past few times have been so incredibly underwhelming I have felt compelled to leave a review. They have severely messed up at least one meal the last three times and done little to fix the problem. They served the most incredibly rare steak I have ever seen and they tried to recook it THREE TIMES, failing each time to reach a simple medium. To top it off they put a patty of cold unmelted butter on top the last time. They managed to serve half raw tenders and replace them with sliced chicken….. Most of the menu is upscale fast food. Everything is severely overpriced for being mostly fried food and the thing that pisses me off is that they hit you with an 8% living wage fee after asking for a tip! It literally cost me $25 per person for fried food sandwiches…. and they’re not even that great. Not worth the price or experience imo

This was incredible! I’m from out of town and was hankering for some Mac n cheese and this hit the spot. All of their food looked GREAT! And they have the best ranch I’ve ever had!Fun cocktails and a great beer selection. A band was playing while we were there and it was a nice & cozy vibe!!

Great little place with excellent food and friendly atmosphere. I ordered a triple pork burger and loved every bite. My girlfriend got the butternut squash Bucatini and raved about it as well. It was great to support such a nice establishment and be rewarded with such stellar food.
