It's a nice place. Nothing amazing, but perfectly fine. A nice selection of food even though the menu isn't huge. We ordered salmon...but also soft pretzel bites. Everything tasted good. The atmosphere was a little drab but we were there right as it opened. My kids have been asking to go back, so that's a seal of approval in my book.
We have stayed in various resorts, off and on, in Waterville Valley for over 30 years. First time at the Snowy Owl and until it is updated, the last. The best part of the stay was that the room was a quiet room and the price was reasonable, but beware you will get what you paid for, The configuration of teh room was very irregular. Staff is always very pleasant. It’s a laid back atmosphere with a cozy feel. I read previous review and I was there during one of these hockey tournaments. The hockey parents allow their children to run wild while they party with the adults and pay no attention to their children. I felt bad for the staff while I was there because it became their job to try to keep these hockey kids under control. I can understand why they may have had enough at that point.
