Top notch service and a gem among the mediocre for the north country. Ordered two steaks, chicken chowder, pretzel, chocolate cake and bread pudding. Best meal we had all weekend. Drinks were great and everything was reasonably priced. Support this local favorite. Believe me it is worth every penny. Better then the Mnt View Bland and Reckpiss by far...

The food was solid and the atmosphere in the bar was great, but the service was really struggling. I don’t know if it was a new person or they were understaffed. I sat down at 5:15, had my food by 5:30, was checked in on by the server at 5:35. I the. didn’t see the bartender/server for an incredibly long time. I was actively trying to get his eye, but sat with an empty water glass, no opportunity to order a second drink, and finished food from 5:50 - 6:15. He finally checked in at 6:15 and I said I was all set and ready to pay At 6:50 (!), I was incredibly frustrated and left too much cash on the bar. I would have left a small top (I never tip under 20%, so that’s saying something), but I didn’t know how much my own cocktail was and I needed to head next door for a 7pm show. I can’t remember the last time I was that ignored and frustrated at a restaurant. I didn’t even have an opportunity to say something because I had to run out the door. I won’t be back.
