I don’t know who is running Burnt Timber, but they deserve some sort of award. I walked in exhausted, running on fumes, and somehow left feeling like I’d just come back from a week-long vacation.
First of all, the owner… whoever approved that hat deserves a raise. It instantly transported me to a beach bar in Havana where my only responsibility was deciding whether to order another drink. I can’t explain it, but the hat has powers.

Five stars all the way for Burnt Timber Tavern. My wife and I stopped in after walking the rail trail while visiting Wolfeboro for the holiday weekend, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.

The summer of 2026 I stopped at Burnt Timber Brewing while in Laconia, NH.
I was told here that they were the last brewery in the area.
The brewery equipment was in the basement. There is a decent selection of beers 🍻.
More than enough to keep the palette quenched.
I had a cheese burger 🍔 with my beverage and the two went perfectly together.
I would stop again on my way thru since I fancy breweries.

Burnt Timber Brewing & Tavern is a popular spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. They offer a wide selection of beers, including the delicious Farm Chores saison, and serve some of the best food in town. The menu features items like buffalo chicken dip, wings, pulled pork, and brisket, all absolutely fantastic with competition-worthy Carolina BBQ sauce. Their summer menu includes the crispiest, most flavorful Brussels sprouts. The patio is dog-friendly, but note that it's not covered, making it less suitable for rainy days. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help.
