I have been getting subs from hucks for at least 25 years and without a doubt my most favorite sub shop out of any I've been to. Not just in New Hampshire but the United States. At least out of the the sub shops I've been too. I grew up in Wolfeboro and whenever I can get back to town it's a sure thing that I stop in here.

The steak and cheese was out of this world! And the customer service was top notch.

First time back in a long while. Much smaller menu. I spent over $50 for 2 chicken fingers, (one made wrong ) a small Italian sub and a small steak and cheese. And 4 drinks THEN waited over 20 mins for our food. I ended up going up looking for our food to find it was sitting there on the side counter getting cold. Very disappointing.

Steak hoagie was cheesy, the steak was tender and well seasoned, and the bread was great!

Place has really gone down the toilet since it was sold to the new owners. Prices went way up, subs have literally half as much filling in them. I went today to try again and a quarter of my sub didn't have any filling at all and my fries were soggy cold and disgusting even though I got there 5 minutes early. Just a real shame where this iconic place has gone...

Recently stopped by here to grab takeout for dinner. We ordered 2 chicken Caesar wraps and an Italian sub. The wraps were okay but somewhat lacking in flavor. Similar sentiment for the Italian sub - was ok, but quite dry - needed more flavor. Ok if you’re looking for a quick meal on the go.

Great chicken salad sub, I added bacon and they loaded it up! Small Caesar salad was really good too. Highly recommend; good food, value, and service.

Ordered a chicken salad with bacon and Italian sub. Both subs were excellent. Good amount of meat and toppings on the Italian. Tons of chicken salad and TONS of bacon.

Hucks used to be great, but it’s has been more and more disappointing recently. Today, 3 people in our party got buffalo chicken sandwiches and they were all cold (even the center of the chicken tenders), the breading on the tenders was completely soggy, and my hoagie sandwich only had 2 tenders on it. The cheese slices on everyone’s sandwiches were completely cold and unmelted.

I’ve been going to Hucks regularly for years for lunch . Today July 3 2024 I went and picked up a small steak and cheese and a large steak and cheese. What I received was 80 percent sub roll 20 percent meat. This is the final nail in the coffin!! Sandwiches are shrinking and prices are rising. You do the math I will never go there again!!
