One of our favorite places to visit when we are in

I came out this way to have a couple night solo getaway to clear my head in the mountains. I was so impressed by Woodstock Inn and Brewery, which was easily my favorite stay in in the NH Whites or VT Greens so far.

The accommodations were lovely. They made me think of a hybrid between a hotel and an airbnb. Check in at a normal hotel office and get a gate code for a cozy room in a house around the block, but with nice-hotel-grade housekeeping quality.

The brewpub was quite good, both in terms of food and its homemade beer, and the room charge included a terrific sit-down breakfast.

What impressed me most was the accumulation of hospitable little details that made for an inviting experience. The gate code set to correspond to your phone number so there's nothing to memorize; nice toiletries; nice meals on location. Most of these details disappeared from hospitality in the pandemic, and it's very rare to see them at any cost I can afford these days.

Spent the weekend at Woodstock Inn for their brewers fest. Raccoon den was a cute room with fireplace and jetted hot tub. The food and beer were delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We ate here for dinner. The food was good. We started off with the fried pickles. If you haven't tried those yet, you must do so! Yummy 😋. I had the Cobb salad with crispy bacon and gorgonzola cheese. The dressing was nice and thick, with lots of cheese chunks. 👍 My son had an Impossible burger. He finished every bite! We ordered the chocolate stout mousse to go. It was good and hit the spot, but I think I prefer regular chocolate mousse. The atmosphere was great; it was an older place with many nooks and crannies. I highly recommend this restaurant!

First time visiting since the remodel and we were amazing at home much the place had expanded. Food was amazing and service was excellent. Really great place to stop and sample some beers after a day of hiking.

Went out to a special dinner here, celebrating athe one time of the year I can have dinner with my father and stepmother.

As we entered, host staff somehow seemed irritable rather than welcoming. Then, as we were sat we were told "you have to scan the QR code for the menu".
I was already turned off from the walk to our table, before even sitting down.
Here we are in a quaint little town to feel "off the grid" and were instantly REQUIRED to use our own internet devices at the dinner table in order to see the menu. The free unsecured wifi was spotty at best. It seems anti-hospitable and full of irony to require guests to being an internet device for a rustic-themed restaurant on the Kanc.
(We did ask for a paper version, and the repu was they maybe had something but it was outdated and they sometimes have their own tablets to use, blah blah blah. I was thoroughly unimpressed)

I was wholeheartedly disgusted by the inaccesible menu. It felt like I was at the self-checkout at a walmart.

The server greeted us and seemed way more interested in turning the table than actually serving us, her current patrons. The server seemed annoyed with our questions about the menu and even more annoyed that I had stepped away to the restroom when she had wanted to take our order.

After the lackluster food arrived, we were luckily checked in on one time so I was able to switch out an empty condiment container for a full one.

The next time the server came back, their arms reached out across the table to gather plates while I was still eating. I was then offered a box. I accepted one for part of my meal, stating that I did not like the side that came with my meal so I didn't want to take it home.

This was a missed opportunity: not only did the server not notice or not care that I hadn't eaten my side, I was also not even offered a simple "I'm sorry " about the food I didn't like, nevermind an offer to make the customer happy with a discount, free drink or dessert. Nothing. Because noone gave a f***

The server was also very quick to pick up the dropped check. We had just enough time to gather the payment and the server was there immediately to grab it.

We are good customers. We complain very little. We assume it's the server/cook's worst day on the job. We never overstay our welcome; always leave a good tip.

We were in the buildung about an hour in total, which seemed way too long for our server although most tables around us were there before and after us.

I've been in the restaurant business for over thirty years. I know everyone has a bad day every once in a while. I also know when the entire staff seems over it. they all seemed over it.

I'm over it too. Probably not coming back here

Didn't stay at the inn, but the service and food (crab cake benny, and ham and cheese womlette) was so good at the restaurant that I had to say something. Our waiter Ian was truly amazing and started my Wife and I's day trip off phenomenally.

We only ate here so I can't speak to the rooms/inn, but the restaurant was nice. It's huge - there's a whole area in the front and then a huge bar in the back with live music on some nights. My boyfriend got the chili and loved it. We then both had pasta dishes - scampi & a chicken pesto one. Both were really good and huge portions. The drinks were okay - very average but I wasn't expecting pretty craft cocktails - basic drinks make sense for this kind of place. It took a while to get service but it was very busy and our waitress was nice.

We didn't stay here however we had dinner. The portion are large so bring your appetite. I had the meatloaf and it was so much food and it was quite tasty. The server was awesome. The only thing that needs some work was the hostess who was on her phone when we walked in and didn't even notice there were two couples waiting. Overall great dinner!

Went to get some food in the morning and this was the closest. Service was good, nothing to write home about. However, the food was amazing. Very hearty and a good variety of food. A good place to stop in the morning before a long day.

My Wife and I have been here many times, like to many to even count now and we have never had a bad experience ever! The food is always good and the service is always spot on and very accommodating. I have a very special diet and our waitress was extra careful to make sure that I was taken care of! I don't have enough good words in my vocabulary to help describe this fine establishment!
