Food and atmosphere was excellent as was the service. The corn chowder, salads, stuffed pork chops and chicken pot pie exceeded expectations. Brianna our waitress was very good and friendly. Very attentive....checking with us several times if everything was ok and if we needed or wanted anything else. Also quite nice that the manager came over to us and asked how everything was and if we needed anything and chatted with us.....a very nice touch !! Will come back again for lunch or dinner.

Great food in an historic country inn atmosphere. Outstanding service - Not rushed at all! Nothing better!

My sister and I had a delicious prime rib dinner! Really enjoyed it. Morgan, our server, was attentive and on the ball!

We attended the Corvette show and had a wonderful lunch at the Smithville in. Love the entrance with the huge old fireplace which takes up most on the wall space. My favorite room is the main dining room with a lovely view of the lake. Service was excellent. I never had to ask to fill my water. Very attentive.

First time there. Wishing the shops were open a little later since we had a late dinner reservation. However, the restaurant was great. Food was excellent and qty was excellent as well. Definitely worth it. The Inn was in a fall decor, which we both liked. Food came out quickly with no problems. Waitress seemed to be a bit busy, but till friendly.

This was the Oktoberfest menu, which we didn't realize. The choices were good, but a little pricey. The German potato salad should have been warm, but it was cold.

Very disappointing experience during the Smithville Fall Festival. We had dinner reservations for 3:00PM and was seated at 3:20PM. Prime Rib was on the menu for dinner which started at 4:00PM. We drove an hour and a half to the Smithville Inn and looked forward to having the Prime Rib for dinner. We have had dinner here numerous times in the past. They were not that busy when we arrived. We ordered the Prime Rib for dinner, but the server informed us that the Prime Rib was not available until 4:00PM. I asked her if she could please check for us as it was close to 4:00PM. She didn't even bother checking for us. We settled for two Turkey dinners. The turkey looked and tasted like it came from a diner in New Jersey. We expected much more for the price of $26.00. We had reservations for December, but we cancelled them after this disappointing experience.

Not our first dining experience here. This time, we reserved a table for lunch during the busy Oktoberfest weekend. While food and service were good, we were not made aware beforehand that the entire lunch and dinner menus, usually available in the afternoon, were not being offered. Instead we received a special one-page Oktoberfest menu with far fewer options. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time as we would have probably skipped the restaurant that day.

We were seated promptly upon our arrival. Our server greeted us almost immediately. Service was very attentive. The French onion soup was served hot and was delicious with crispy, thin onion rings on top. My husband and I shared the fried tomatoes with gorgonzola on the side. They weren't green tomatoes, but still very tasty. We shared the prime rib sandwich with French fries. The prime rib was very tender and plentiful. The meal was very good and I would recommend a stop for lunch there. Afterward, a nice walk around Smithville property is a must.

Their French onion soup is the best. Really enjoyed the live piano music as well on Saturday night.
