We were seated promptly upon our arrival. Our server greeted us almost immediately. Service was very attentive. The French onion soup was served hot and was delicious with crispy, thin onion rings on top. My husband and I shared the fried tomatoes with gorgonzola on the side. They weren't green tomatoes, but still very tasty. We shared the prime rib sandwich with French fries. The prime rib was very tender and plentiful. Our lunch service was excellent, ambiance was comfiortable with historical features, food & beverage menu had plenty of choices.. a great place to fillup before visiting the historical village!
Great experience at the Smithville Inn. I went there for the lobster special and it was excellent. The others at my table had the chicken pot pie and the seafood primavera. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Waitstaff was attentive and took care of any issues that came up. A piano player wasn't far from our table. He played beautiful music and created a really nice ambience. Noise level was moderate. Everyone in my party could talk at a normal level and hear each other just fine....
